I went KK, rent a car perodua Axia at airport about rm120-130 per day, drive up to kundasang, naik gunung, drive to ranau then back to kk city trip. I asked for tours, it's very expensive. Rent a car more worth. If you rent car more than 2-3 days you can ask for offer, got discount. Taxi is extremely expensive in KK. No taxi follow meter in the town. 5 mins distance also charge you RM10.

Very nice mountain view. (non-halal warn: stop by roadside for stall selling BBQ babi hutan along the way to kundasang) Attached thumbnail(s) |

I like the idea of being adventurous. So i would suggest rent a vehicle and drive where your soul leads u. Expect 1000 things to go wrong wonderfully.
But let say u are not that kind of person, so maybe u can ask someone u know who knows the place better like Google map to take u around. They take u to tourist hotspot but not places that matters. |
