I am planning to buy Steam Link from Amazon and the unit cost will be cheaper if I buy more due to shipping costs to Malaysia are expensive.

Just trying to gauge whether there will be people interested Steam Link or I am the odd one out.

Steam link basically lets you stream your games from your PC to any TV in your house via LAN. So you can play your PC games from your living room.

Below is the Steam page about this item:

Bro, I'm interested in buying one too. I saw in the recent summer sale, it has now cost 34.99usd. In Amazon, I notice that at max you can only have 3 in cart.

Well, if you found another person interested too we can definitely share the shipping cost. You can either buy them using your own money first and let us meet you up then COD afterwards. Or I also can wire you my portion of pay first then meet you up to collect the item either.

You know I'm serious when this topic caught my attention then I joined lowyat forum for the first time just to reply you.

What is the point you are trying to make? Don't get the steam link but get another full-fledged PC? bangwall.gif

I have thought about that before. I'd have to take my pc to my living room, get a HDMI long enough to connect it to my TV whilst resting my laptop on the coffee table.

Then, connect game controller to pc, open game, set resolution to perfectly fit the screen size of my TV. Sit down, lay back and enjoy the game.

When I'm done playing, unplug all the fking things, bring me laptop back to my room. And when I want to play on TV again, repeat all the above process.

Just wanna save myself from all that hurdles and spoil myself with some luxury. I can just leave the Steam Link remain plugged with the router and TV permanently. grin.gif

Bro, I hope you reconsider tho. Now Amazon Prime has this FREE 2 Day shipping if the purchase is over 49$. So buying 2 is enough to be eligible for the free shipping AND it would only cost us RM140 each for the steam link. icon_question.gif

Does free 2 day shipping bring down shipping costs to Malaysia?

Checked and it came to RM467 for 2 units.

if u have a shitty laptop or any sort of shitty pc u don't use u can install steam on it and plug to ur TV to use it as streaming device to stream over from ur main pc.

if u have an android u can install moonlight and use a cable to output ur pc game on to ur TV.

so why buy steam link if u got any of the above?

Anyone own a Steam Link?

Please provide a little review. Does it stream shortcut games installed outside of steam account? Does it lag on a normal router? Can install apps on it? Any web browser?
