mine reached fedex in the afternoon. i called and check, and guess what? it's actually scheduled for delivery next week on 13th i quickly ask them to mark it as self collect and i go collect it after work.

it's been quite awhile since i bought a new phone lol!

yes, it happens to me. i found out yesterday that my parcel reach penang fedex liao but since it reach in the afternoon, i thought it might not be delivered yesterday.
so i called them, and when i found out that they scheduled for delivery next week on 13/4, i straightaway say i will go self collect LOL!

at the counter, the lady checking my airway number when reading on the monitor screen suddenly say "eh, forward to gdex? oh, self collect.." and then she go behind get my parcel for me.

so if possible, better go self collect. btw, interestingly i noticed there's quite a big box with mi.com printed when i walk pass their loading bay. for vendors maybe?

i should probably stop visiting this thread, makes my heart ache when i see the gemfive discount

btw, anybody feels like the Wifi in redmi note 3 is slow?

i did compare speedtest with samsung note 3.
redmi note 3 struggling to exceed 1.5Mbps and my samsung note 3 blaze to 15Mbps effortlessly.

i is sad with my rn3's wifi.
not sure if it's software issue or hardware issue?
it can't get past 1.5Mbps when i'm doing speedtest...

I suppose "premium feel" is subjective across different people. But in this case, I suppose there's hollow space at the back part of the phone and that's most probably the reason why some people feel it's not premium as mentioned in some reviews.

As for the screen, it's also subjective across different people, but for me, the screen is impressive enough for a sub RM900 phone. Also the ability to change the screens warmness and saturation level is excellent.

Buy from taobao, I am waiting for my tempered glass and 2 phone cover from taobao. Ignoring the rm12 shipping charge, 2 of my phone cover cost is equals to the phone cover sold in mi.com. When I received mind I post up photo and see. Also, local pasal malam get their stock from taobao as well.

Also, can u check if your phone can connect to the WiFi and get full speed from your Internet connection? I'm only getting 1.2mbps maximum speed from the WiFi and I'm not sure if it's due to software or hardware issue.

Metal casing I don't think should affect that much. A lot of phones are using aluminium case as well and I don't think it will drop the WiFi till 1mbps range. I read there's issue with WiFi in mtk version where the WiFi couldn't connect.

How expensive? Actually taobao got ship to Malaysia but the shipping expensive. From agent it's about rm12-17 for first kg. Better buy a few things to justify the shipping rate r get a few ppl to share.

Don't update the phone software, or at least I think that's the reason that causes my WiFi speed to drop like crazy.

I did a hard reset and didn't update anything.
Did speedtest, and everything's good. Syukur not hardware issue.

yeah, that's a known issue as far as i know.
i did emailed the xiaomi CS, see what they reply.

mine doesn't have wifi->mobile problem.
previously i had problem with my wifi where it can only go up to 1Mbps or very slow wifi although i'm on 4Mbps streamyx.

after consulting with xiaomi's CS, they recommend me to do a hard reset. i was also suggested not to update the phone software. when i did hard reset, i did a speedtest and my wifi's working perfectly normal now.

i'm curious, did you enable reading mode?
reading mode = yellowish screen, depending on the slider you adjust.



While the hype is real and the "premium" feel is there for some people, we should always remember that this is a RM7xx-8xx phone that we are talking about, not flagship phones which cost 4-5 times more than rn3

you get what you paid for, and in this case, i feel like i get more than what i paid for. those who purchased them with 20% discount from g5 gets even more, and to be honest i'm still quite jelly about it

i didn't use RN2 before, but what you are saying is, RN2 has better camera, better viewability under sunlight and better ram consumption?

mine is more or less the same.
read mode = yellow.
i like to set it to 1-3 level of read mode.
ease my eyes a little while not making it look overly yellow
