Mi3 biggest con is the size of it. It really cannot compare with recent smartphone. However in terms of performance, I think Mi3 as a base is not too bad. In fact its pretty decent in its own way. To be honest, I dont really feel RN3 is a worthy replacement despite the antutu score. I had the MTK version which is slower, true, but when I see the screen, camera, buttons, etc, I'm not impressed at all. Pricing is the only attractive thing about it.

Had Mi made Mi5 available, I think I might buy it instead of RN3, but still depends on the final pricing. I thought I wanna buy G4 but the bootloop scare is just too much.

Yep, Mi3 only 15gb, ram 2gb, no LTE, no expandable storage, small battery.
Redmi Note 3 on paper superior most of that, 3gb ram, 32gb storage, dual sim?, LTE, expandable storage, 4k mah battery and fingerprint scanner.
On paper too, SD800 should be more superior than SD650. But I wonder if real life can prove that? biggrin.gif

I'd take mi5 too, but mi5 too ugly and not comfort in hand.

On paper sd800 better than sd650

On paper, SD650 > SD801

SD 650 4x A53 + 2x A72.

A53 should be slower than 4x Krait400 but the 2x A72 would back up just nicely. A72 will destroy A15, let alone the much older Krait 400.

sd801 is on mi4 already. mi3 only sd800.
So base on paper spec, redmi note 3 beat mi3 & mi4 for overall performance?

sim 2 can be use as microSD card.
sim 1 - micro sim
sim 2 - nano sim

* hybrid sim microSD for redmi note 3 pro (snapdragon) only

for mediatek both micro sim.
*

i think got case for nanosim to let it transform into micro sim  biggrin.gif
and sim 2 can be LTE if you set it as your data simcard.
it can be choose either one. if i'm not mistaken.

I got 1 nano2micro case. Can you verify if sim 2 can be LTE activate too?

Hi guys, I would like to review a bit of this Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 3gb/32gb rom Snapdragon 650 SoC.

Physical Built
- Very solid metal build
- Heavier than Xiaomi Mi3 & LG G4
- Fall on your toe will be a disaster.

Software
- MIUI rom is smooth, not much bloatware.
- Not perfect, got plenty of bugs, apps related. Need to restart to make some features/app working.
- Fingerprint unlock smooth, avoid using whatsapp popup msg, it will make fingerunlock not working.
- Can register multiple finger
- Using IR Blaster as remote is awesome feature I love like on LG G4, Zaza Remote.
- No NFC got no effect on me.
- Transition smooth enough, I think comparable to Mate 8.

Speaker
- Average performance
- Loud & clear

Camera
- Above average quality, good I'd say.
- Bad under low light
- Selfie camera nothing to brag.

Screen
- 5.5" is great for gaming, reading book.
- As sharp as mi3 & g4 at glance
- Not good under direct sunlight, no biggie.

Battery
- 4000mAh perform good, but not as good as Mate 8.
- Better than mi3 & g4 definitely.
- Take long time to fullcharge.

Overall
- Very good phone for the price, sub rm800.
- Good upgrade from Mi3, not as high as G4.
- I think I'm gonna keep this and ditch mi3 & g4.

How about those infamous wifi speed issue? Nice short review sir.
