Hi Guys, Thinking of getting a SD Redmi Note 3 from China. Just worried that it won't work in Malaysia as they seem to have 2 network standards for each model. See 2. 选择网络制式 in the xiaomi link http://item.mi.com/buyphone/note3I think this is the Snapdragon 650 version. Can anyone help confirm this & let me know which network to select? Thanks

QUOTE(CyrusWong @ Mar 10 2016, 05:09 PM) isn't I already tell you the answer... Thanks Cyrus, I don't read chinese & was relying on Google Translate to figure out what was what on the site. Now the question is, would the phone work in Malaysia with either Digi or Maxis? This post has been edited by Dbassnut: Mar 10 2016, 05:34 PM

Hi Guys, 1st choice. Get a Redmi Note 3 through my sis in China who will be coming back to Penang. Hopefully before the end of the month. I'm going for the Redmi Note 3 Pro - Snapdragon650, 3GB/32GB. China has a better warranty (can return the phone within 7 days for 1 to 1 replacement, no questions asked). Malaysia Warranty is limited & the service centers aren't that helpful. I'll be asking her to test the phone out first there though. Any advice on what I should do? 2nd choice Get a Redmi Note 3 here. However, even though we know its a Snapdragon, not sure whether the 2GB/16GB or 3GB/32GB. Also, don't know how the good the service centers here are. There are some complaints at the MUI forum about this on defective phones from a few users. Which is why I'm considering getting the phone from China instead.
Appreciate any advice you can give me.

QUOTE(abubin @ Mar 14 2016, 10:56 AM) Just wanna ask, will you guys buy from Xiaomi Malaysia if they sell the phone at this price? Redmi Note 3 2GB/16GB - RM699 or RM749? 3GB/32GB - RM869 or RM999 Personally my max is RM699 for 2GB and RM869 for 3GB. If they sell more than that I will go from local importers. The Xiaomi Snapdragon650, 3GB/32GB is being sold in China at 1199 Yuan which is about RM760. (in India its about 11999 Rupees which is about RM736) Hopefully they release the 3GB/32GB version here at RM860.

The Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon650 version now available in HK Xiaomi. http://www.mi.com/hk/hdindex/openbuy/#NOTE3The 2GB/16GB is going for HKD1299 The 3GB/32GB is going for HKD1499 (but need f-code) Thinking getting the 3GB/32GB one from HK before end of the month if I go there. Or get my sis in HK to ship one to me. Any advice? This post has been edited by Dbassnut: Mar 24 2016, 11:40 AM
