if u can find an older Linksys WRT54G (< Version 5) or WRT54GL, you can install 3rd party firmware (like sveasoft or dd-wrt) and turn it into a wireless receiver. i put DD-WRT in mine and used it to link my xbox1 & xbox360 to the network.Buying the adapter is my last resort.
