changed my CX5 17" into Conti LX2. Didnt really like the thread, pebbles easily get stucked. Noise wise acceptable. Dry ok, do not feel very confident in wet.

Still prefer the ori Yokos. Used them for about 40k kms. Noise level low, cornering solid. Good in both dry and wet.

Wanted to get the Michelin SUV but not available when I changed tyres last year.

Not many choices at 225/65R17. Take note there are two Yokos model G055 and G098. I believe the ori CBUs come with G098.

The threads are different. Saw the G055 and didnt like it. Suspect the thread is likely better for offroad. G098 thread seems to be better for noise and city use. In any case I used it for 2 yrs and loved it. Just difficult to find.

I really wanted the Michelin SUV but it wasnt available then. Try the shops in Klang for the Michelins. The last time I checked the prices I believe the Mich SUV can be purchased for between RM450-500 thereabouts. Not sure if subject to GST and/or valve/balancing etc though. Call and check. LX2 should be slightly cheaper probably RM430-RM480. These kind of pricing, its worth the drive to Klang.

The regular cheap folks at Klang are Jooi Seng, Hin Leong, Good Wood and Ban Hooi.

G098 is Buatan Jepun.

May I ask where you traded in your tyres?

Been using the LX2 for more than a year now and I seem to have problems with tyre quality. No matter how many shops I send it to, no one can balance it for me. Steering shakes at 100kmh and car automatically veer left. Every shop is saying tyre problem.
