Hi all sifus, Planning to change new tyres for my CX5, currently on original Goodyear Wrangler HP 225/65R17 which I find noisy (50k+km). Checking around PJ area, seems to have limited options: Yoko Geolander G055, Goodyear Efficientgrip SUV, Conti Cross Contact LX, Michelin Primacy SUV. Anyone have experience on the above or recommendations? Thanks alot!

Seems to be marketed as all weather on their website.
Any recommendations from SUV drivers with similar tyre profile ? eg. CX5, CRV, XV, X trail, etc.

confirm Yoko G098 is with the CBU model, I was quoted for G055. Is there any difference between the two Yokos?

QUOTE(kslian @ Mar 9 2016, 12:19 PM) The threads are different. Saw the G055 and didnt like it. Suspect the thread is likely better for offroad. G098 thread seems to be better for noise and city use. In any case I used it for 2 yrs and loved it. Just difficult to find. I really wanted the Michelin SUV but it wasnt available then. Try the shops in Klang for the Michelins. The last time I checked the prices I believe the Mich SUV can be purchased for between RM450-500 thereabouts. Not sure if subject to GST and/or valve/balancing etc though. Call and check. LX2 should be slightly cheaper probably RM430-RM480. These kind of pricing, its worth the drive to Klang. The regular cheap folks at Klang are Jooi Seng, Hin Leong, Good Wood and Ban Hooi. Yes actually made some calls the Primacy SUV is close to rm500 all inclusive GST, balancing, alignement in klang (cheapest) and G055 is about rm480 from another shop in USJ. So the price difference is not so much between tthe two, and more of personal choice on performance.... i guess, both are made in thailand

Thanks for sharing. if i'm not mistaken now the lattitude is replaced with the primacy SUV? Also Spec X is not so easily avaliable. most shops offering G055 for yokohama on 225/65R17

Finally decided on primacy SUV and got it installed over the weekend. Quieter and i think handles bumps better than the stock Wranglers but was expecting lower noise. Maybe need to run in the tires for a bit....
Before deciding two different dealers claimed that made in japan tires (eg. conti and bridgestone) were superior to the thai made primacy SUV? any one have their experience on this?
