You can find cheap DA as per my compilation of price list as per link below, as low as RM 480 for 8mm DA. Took a whole month to compile during my free time biggrin.gif

[go to bottom of page]

There isn't any 'cheap' DA at Jln Pasar, maybe rotary buffer / random orbital. DA usually sold by detailer shop or importer.

any1 knows whats the estimate cost to repaint back the bonnet, roof, bumper n fender?
2K Super Black 2 color. if possible puchong area pls..
*
Big panel,ie roof & bonnet usually rm250 to rm350 per panel. Price also identical for bumper. Fender rm 150 to rm 200 for 2k metallic, 2stage paint.

2k means 2 substances mixed (color paint with hardener) to form the paint. 2 stage paint is, base color coat and clear coat. Not sure what you mean by black 2 colors.

In detailing, 2k and 2 stage paints meant different. Almost all automotive paint is 2k . 1k paint will dissolve once solvent such as thinner, mineral spirit is used. This is yr typical can spray, house paint and those automotive touch up paint in small bottles sold in hardware/hypermarket

*
You can get it from CSM hardware at Taman Sri Muda, Shah Alam. The hardware shop is few shops away from Public Bank and next to Kesas highway. They have 2000 and 3000 grit. The price about rm1.30 each.

thanks for the detail explanation
any suggestion to resolve issue #1?
because the spot is kinda new, maybe about two weeks ago?  sad.gif

and for issue #3, what do u mean by compounded?
*
On your query for #3, compound is meant "heavy polishing" in layman. This is achieve by using more "stonger" polish.

Compound that you could find and one of the best for consumer is Meguiars Ultimate Compound. This is available also at lazada, sold by Meguairs Malaysia. Buying online is much cheaper than shop and free shipping too. You can get using discount on www.lalalaxx.com.

Was thinking of getting soft fusso coat 12 months, but then saw another soft99 which is this:

http://www.soft99.co.jp/english/products/c....html?pid=10030
http://www.lazada.com.my/soft-99-superior-...g-22603512.html

Anyone used this before?
*
I have this normal metalic wax and the 12 months fusso wax. Get the 12 months version for much longer and superior protection.

Soft99 metalic wax is cleaner wax and the 12 months fusso is a sealant.

Cleaner wax has mild polish capability and easier to use.
Sealant is pure protection without cleaning capability. Harder to buff off (wax off) though.

There is this one with the yellow cover: http://www.soft99.co.jp/english/products/c....html?pid=10030

and another one with a white cover: http://www.soft99.co.jp/english/products/c....html?pid=00027

I have used both white cover and yellow cover as you hv pointed out. The white cover is better

Second tht Goo Gone works wonder even though it is expensive. Brought a spray bottle type and used till now (close to 10 years). I also use it to remove road tax glue residual on frt windscreen with tint.

For stubborn glue residual, buy those plastic scrapper from Daiso DIY section or use an expired credit card.

check out the half & half panel with SRP

It certainly looks wow for a product (Autoglym SRP) that existed since 1986.

If you are not doing this for a business and just like the looks of it for very special occasions or selling the car off then this is a fantastic product to go for. In short, it is a short cut way to achieve good result without much effort which is practical for daily driven own car. The product is not for true enthusiast as the acts as a filler rather than correcting the scratch, swirl.
