Hi guys, i have some doubts on my car sealant as below

1) do i have to remove the existing layer of sealant if i wish to top up a new layer ? ( i am using soft99 Fusso sealant)
How often you wanna top up the new layer? i just do it one time wax/seal (every 2-3 month) and use the liquid wax every week (or twice). top up means you put a new layer on the existing layer, means you dont have to remove the existing layer smile.gif

2) if i do not remove it before top up, will the old layer slowly become yellowish ( my main concern as my car paint is in white color)
as far as i know, it won't become yellowish

3)will claying process remove the sealant layer? By using clay bar to clean the dirty stain and bird poo
Yes, it will remove the layer by claying, but you won't be able to remove the stubborn pain and bird poo by claying alone, best is use the AIO and use the wax/sealant as LSP

Thanks in advance

Guys,

Not sure this has been asked before or not. Have anybody here tried to polish the ppf surface before? I tried to google, the answer is not convincing enuf.

Im planning to wrap the ppf at the front of the car and thw rest of the panel gonna leave it just as is followed by usual care method, coating/wax or sealant.

The plan are after a year or 2 maybe need to reapply the coating on the ppf but prior to that for sure we need to prep the surface first. It wont be an issue to compound and polish for the rest of the panel, my concern is the panel which got ppf on it. How can we prep it to layer a new coating?

Depends on how etched in the waterspot is. I have tried gyeon waterspot (Q2M), didnt remove enough. Next i would try carpro spotless but u can try pm them for better advice.

Or go back to the ppf / coating shop? Just in case diy doesnt work.
I dont have ppf, so worse case is recoating it, which u can diy.

Im using the igl eco delete to remove the watermark. Diluted 1:1 to try and it can remove the light watermark...for deeper watermark just use it without dilute.

It can remove i can say around 80-90% of the watermark on my car. Then i finish it up with adams graphene boost to topped my coating. My car was ppfed at the front and all i can say so far the igl eco delete is safe to use on ppf car. Just as usual..try to do the test spot first.
