Always take car industry people's warranty with a pinch of salt.. I would halved their claim of 5 years / 3 years/ 1 year without any doubt. These claims will always be rebuted with how car is maintained, where is parked, where it has driven etc. Set your expectation to 6 months tip top, and maybe 1 year wearing off. Many of these Detailing shop come and go, will they still be around after 5 years? One of the pioneer of car coating is Shine and Shield at Sunway, they been around before teflon , ceramic tech came around.
I highly recommend new car owners to have their cars polished and coated to maintain the brand new shine. Do it when the car is new, so that you preserve the new car shine before your car gets dirty or paint gets contaminated.

QUOTE(static_365 @ Mar 14 2019, 09:19 AM) Can anyone recommend me a budget water pressure washer <RM400 ? My car have so many swirl mark due to those tepi jalan bangla car washer cincai wash Now i decided to wash my car by myself Have bought some item to do it on this Saturday. [attachmentid=10203342] so the step is wash > clay > wash > polish > wax right? Will do it all by hand, no issue right? You dont really need a pressure washer. You get better result and easier drying by throwing a pail of water. On the extreme side of justification, a jet of water with sediments will harm your paint too.. but that's really kiasu and applicable to high value cars.

QUOTE(Kaffatsum @ May 24 2019, 08:57 AM) Anybody here have suggestion for vacuum cleaner for interior cleaning? Dont need a fancy extractor or anything but a vacuum would solve most of my interior cleaning needs along with some APC and brushes. I use a wall plugged home vacuum with around 1500 watts. most effective. becareful not to scratch your plastic dash/trims, use some cloth to smoothen the tips. beat your seat to loosen any dust.

QUOTE(rylim @ Oct 7 2020, 09:23 AM) Thanks for the info. My budget is around RM100 and I had taken a look on the Meguairs/ Mothers Clay ktis, but they are beyond RM100 and totally out of my budget. I think the only option I have is PG Clay Bar or Soft99 Clay Bar. I recommend the PG clay bar. You can get them at Aeon/Jusco. Been sticking to them for many years. Its just a clay bar, dont need spend so much > 80 / 100. Choose the number best suited for your paint color.

QUOTE(woodentiger86 @ Oct 7 2020, 04:34 PM) SGCB or CarPro Polyshave, maybe bro Celciuz can help shed some info. Myself using Osren's Clay Cloth - not bad. So far works fine. Not so sure about those < RM20 ones but from my experience with cheap clay mitts from China, sub RM20 - it caused a lot of marrings on my car's paint when I used it... Really horrid results man. Stick with reputable brands for clay cloth. Thats a good enough reply for me to skip the sub rm20 . thanks. Is clay cloth as effective as clay bar?

QUOTE(N9484640 @ Jan 16 2025, 03:46 PM) I have patches of stains everywhere on my car after didnt wash my car for 2 weeks. Normal car shampoo wont clean it off. I took it to my detailer and he cleans it with some liquid - wont tell me what it is though. This is a one year old car. Always parked under basement. The stains seems to come from just normal everyday grime mixed with rain water. Never experience this before in other cars. Any idea how to clean this myself? Or should I do some ceramic coating ? Oh btw the I applied Fusso Coat on it and wash with the cheap soft99 shampoo. Usually I wash every week and the stains wont appear but if I leave it too long then these stains will set in prolonged stains on white car wont be easily washed. Use a decent car polish should help. Dont bother those cheap one from DIY , tried before didnt work. you send to petrol station car wash and upgrade to WAX wash rm30 , they will remove. Theirs are some powerful detergent not caring much on paint protection. This post has been edited by dudester: Jan 16 2025, 04:59 PM

QUOTE(N9484640 @ Jan 16 2025, 05:01 PM) Less than 2 weeks considered "prolonged"? white car 1 week also prolonged but your case, basement parking must be from leaking ceiling or pipe toxic stains

QUOTE(N9484640 @ Jan 16 2025, 05:04 PM) No leaks anywhere and the stains are all over my car, not just one particular spot. My car is green not white cant see the stains in your photo. The stains seems to come from just normal everyday grime mixed with rain water. - if this may means water mark caused by rain water, do you see little circle marks when view at an angle or with light refection?
