How long did your Fusso Coat last after thoroughly cleaning up your car? I'm planning to start applying Fusso Coat 12 Months with just a simple car wash too (one year old paintjob). But if it is going just last just one month then  doh.gif
*
I think with without any wax reapply can last after more than 10 washes or so/2-3mths,but I usually add ada Fusso F7, sealant liquid wax weekly so my shine /water beadings almost daily

So you apply Fusso Coat once every 2-3 months, and then apply a top coat with F7 once a week? Do you clay bar every time before applying the Fusso Coat?

The reason I want to go with Fusso Coat 12 months is because I don't want to wax too often  sweat.gif  My plan is to use Fusso Coat as first coat and then top with Kiwami every 2 months. Unfortunately, I can only muster the determination to wash my double cab once every 3-4 weeks.

I think wat u do is ok, im jus too obsessed with detailing, each weekly soap down wash n later wax.
Yeah use Kiwami too.so if rains daily I will rinse n spray with Soft99 luxury gloss or Meguiar Quik detailer

I just applied it again last week after washing, compound, polish, degrease & finally fusso coat. Will need to wait and find out. I will update again if I remember.

Honestly speaking from my experience, it is useless to directly apply after simple car wash. It will probably last 1 month only. If your paintjob is clean, I guess you can just wipe down with degreaser (50/50 99% IPA mix with distilled water) and apply fusso coat. But if your car many tar and other residue stick onto the body paint, need to remove it either with tar remover or polish it slowly. Then, degreaser step and apply fusso coat.

I did another experiment with my family's car. Just degrease and apply fusso coat (because polish already few months ago), so far 1 month already beading still looks ok. But the door lower section I think abit effect gone. Need to wash car and find out. Ok

May need to buy the fusso spray type to topup after every car wash, but I'll wait and see first.

Wah use degreaser, tht strips away alot of wax then, ive not use it before just soft99 shampoo n wax on

Which soft99 products are best besides the Ultra Glaco and Glass refresh?

Are the luster or wax worth it ?

Lately rain water is very dirty. Even after I wax my car, after rain my car will be covered with black layer, can even write on it.
My shampoo is not able to deep clean the black stuff, seems like it will eat into the wax at certain places,
Anyone can recommend how to take care of this?
Change wax?

Car is white color
Using soft 99 fussy wax which gives a very good water beading

I always rinse off after rain, so can avoid dirty, btw cant stand seeing it dirty since its black

not sure if you are using the same product as me but this is what i had:-

the most common one would be ceramic, there are some shops advertising "graphene" but it is uncommon and the difference in results between the former and the latter are arguable and the downside, you will be charged a premium for that with little to prove.

If u use the liquid type Fusso will be much better to take off the stains

you planned to DIY?

have not heard of Opti-Coat but if you want to DIY then you can consider the range from OSREN. they are relatively affordable and plus, their support staff is quite good as in you can consult them on how to apply the coating and they will teach you.

take note though, you'll need to properly and carefully prep your car surface before applying the coating otherwise it will all go to waste or worst case scenario, mar your paint.
you referring to Fusso F7?

not sure about the cleaning properties of it but i've tried it before, it is ok but costlier and does not last as long as the paste wax. at the end of the 3rd month or so, you'll notice the hydrophobicity properties starts to dwindle.

some of the product also gets blown away by wind if you work outside leading to wastage and accidental spread to other unintended parts of the vehicle  mega_shok.gif

Yup I've all Fusso/soft99 range, f7 can last so called 4 mths, but I wax weekly so always beading

detailing is basically; wash, polish, wax etc (the whole package) and you don't do it unless absolutely necessary, it's like a hard reset you do for your car paint. if you are really determined, just wash your car weekly and wax it every 3~6 months (depending on the hydrophobicity) YOURSELF with the right method/product and you'll be golden.

many neglect the fact that the humble car wash IS the way to maintain that good looks of your car and despite its simplicity, it's notoriously difficult. do it wrong and you'll strip your LSP prematurely and mar your paint.

do not polish your car unless necessary. no doubt it will give your car that showroom shine because it removes all the swirls/scratches but it also wears down your clear coat (thin the paint) and if you do it often enough, you'll eventually burn through and get to the point of no return.

Depends how harsh the detailing products,I've been waxing with liquid ones frm Soft 99 weekly and my black car for 7yrs+ stays shiny as ever

4 months old is still very new and you won't need any detailing unless you wanted to get your car coated which is highly recommended if you intend to wash your car yourself throughout the entire duration of your ownership as it makes the car washing experience way way more pleasant and less tedious, especially the drying part.

you literally "dry" the car with water.

#iykyk
Waxing is generally safe because it adds and not subtracts, polishing subtracts. Even if you use too much waxing product, they will wear off eventually and your car paint returns to normal.

With that being said, if you wax your car improperly (ie: using unsuitable pads/apply too much pressure, you'll still mar your paint albeit micro ones but they do stack up overtime resulting in micro marring. The danger of marring the paintwork is at every stage but is evidently higher during the "buff-off" stage, it's basically masturbating with a very dry penis.

Black colored cars are a treat to look at if properly cared for but that task is an extremely difficult one to do.

Not to rain on your parade but if you take a lightbar around the 4000k spectrum, you'll be shock at the amount swirls on it. Somehow these swirl marks don't appear well on daylight (anything higher than 4700k). This is also why you tend to see "detailing shops" always use lights that are cooler, they hide the imperfection of their works.

Only true detailing shops have warmer standing work lights to ensure everything is perfect and this is where you pay the "premium" for it.

I got glossmeter to check too bro.yeah some little swirls can be seen but just putting more layer of wax n yeah I apply without much pressures too.

the problem i have with all these measuring device is that the sample area is too small to be an indicative of the condition of the entire surface. for example, if i want to measure the hood, i would plot a random surface of it and then take the reading but that would only tell me the story of that plot itself but not the other parts, unless of course you actually measure every inch of the car  shocking.gif

then again, keep up the good work - love to see pristine black colored cars. not many on the streets.

i used to have a Crystal Black Pearl 3rd-Gen Honda City that was a treat to look at but a pain to maintain.

Ya can't be too perfect but my OCD with detailing just keeps me going frm Black Pearl Ketam to now G10 black. And hardly tiring to do so.
