Just bought soft99 meta clean. Works quite well and easy to apply as it is liquid wax.

Guys, any of you try tsunami brand pressure washer before? Compare to Karcher, which one better? 100bar sufficient for car wash? I heard pressure washer with induction engine can last longer, any comment on this? Thank you

I don't recommend using front and back windscreen. There are chances of blurring things up. Use with extra caution.

Basically it's acid. And acid dissolves mineral. But acid also etches.

I'm using CarPro Spotless, not bad I would say. But those very deeply etched ones still need to polish off using cerium oxide cream.

Hello sifus!

Anyone heard of this sunpu brand? Price is cheaper than a shinemate ex605 and the spec (on paper) seems superior (to this new) at least.

Anyone care to shed some light?

Also, general consensus is the ex605 is good enough for a beginner. This still true? Last comment on this thread was from last year. Based on my research...there hasn't been anything new...right?

There are plenty of polishers now, all with different specs. It’s really hard to tell if one is better than another but some areas to look into is the durability, handling and loudness of the machine. Is it smooth or does it jitter when the RPM is increased? Does it sound like a lawn mower when it’s turned on or is it relatively quiet? Of course how does it perform when cutting?

As far as how good ex605 is, I don’t know. Shine mate is a reputable brand and I’m sure many will say it is good.

On the same topic, I am looking for a 3in DA, anybody have any suggestions?

Has anyone tried out the Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax? Quite keen. So far out of stock so waiting for restocks to come in. smile.gif

Recommended to apply two layers. For me, the first base layer just did not give enough gloss. (Car already has two thin layers of Permanon DIY coating 3 months ago. Too lazy to clay before applying this Hybrid ceramic wax).

I used damp polishing sponge to apply the first base layer on wet surface (just like traditional way of applying liquid wax/sealant), then use damp microfiber cloth to spread some more/wipe off immediately (very minimal curing time as does not want water spot forming). Streaking due to too much applied. Top tip, less is more. Took 2+ hours to finish.

Second layer applied after 24 hours "cure time". Initially sprayed water to spread the first layer & can see the beading slowly forming after water spray (just like what we see on YouTube). Then took wet microfiber cloth, spray once & spread over one panel. Immediately use water spray to spread this layer. Dry off immediately. Took 1+ hours to finish.

It is now that the gloss level is deemed somewhat acceptable to me. But water beading was phenomenal as got caught in the rain later the next day.

Is it worth that RM80? Hell YES. Am a lazy bugger who now spend more time with family than on the car. Also damn cerewek and prefer to DIY as most polishing places out there hire Banglas who aren't as cerewek as myself. Will probably do another layer maybe in 3 months time as my car is mostly parked in covered car park (office & home). Still deciding if this maintenance layer to be "spray & rinse" or do like my second layer (which uses less & ensure proper spreading of the sealant). (Sorry, no photos available. Can't be arse to take photos as it can't capture what you actually see).
