Wah expensive sia, I'm looking at this Black & Decker one... https://shopee.com.my/product/42471149/973311558?smtt=0.0.9

at least get a DAS6 or Osren's old DAP8. the B&D is only good for applying wax. Plus you cant use other pads as it doesnt have a velcro interface

Used to have it - cutting power not as good so not a good choice if wanna do paint corrections etc.

Yes, beats using hand when applying wax or polish but might as well invest in a proper machine.

I currently have Osren's DA polisher and a Skil rotary too... Both hardly used. laugh.gif
*
pair it with proper pads + polish combo = good machine. unless you are dealing with hard paint lah smile.gif

can change to :
3inch BP = your own mini polish
Brush attachment = Can brush carpets/car seats

Can anyone recommend a decent cleaner for use on rims? Especially with removal of stubborn brake dust/grime etc on rims that do not have regular TLC.

I bought a spray bottle of Abro Wheel Cleaner a few months ago and tried it out, but so far I didn't encounter the part where the chemical will turn 'purple'...
user posted image

Either that or I'm not using the wheel cleaner correctly.

Usually end up I will use dishwashing liquid + a wheel brush/MF towel to clean the rims.
*
From my experience, so far there is no spray on and rinse away wheel cleaner, it will still need some sort of agitation smile.gif

Haha true.

How nice if there are.

Jokes aside, I do understand the need to let the chemical 'do its thing' for several minutes, and from the videos I've watched, ideally once the brake dust and grime are dissolved, some products will turn purple [like Iron X etc] then only proceed with a brush to agitate it and final wash... Did I get the sequence correct?

Or Spray - agitate - wait few mins - wash...

hmm.gif
*
I do the following :
1. Rinse with pressure washer
2. Spray cleaner of choice. Let it dwell for 10-20 seconds
3. Agitate
4. Rinse with pressure washer
5. Repeat if/when necessary.

If you are a DIYer, its economical to get the gallon sized cleaners. I'm using the following :
1. Osren's Multi Clean
2. Osren's Degreaser FX
3. Osren's Brake Dust Cleaner
4. Meguiar's APC
5. Meguiar's Super-D-Greaser
6. Meguiar's Wheel Brightener
7. ValetPRO Billberry Wheel Wash

May I ask what are the differences and uses of both Multi clean & Degreaser FX? Because to me they seem to overlap.
*
Multi Clean is more pungent than Degreaser FX. Degreaser FX is easier to rinse too

Thanks for sharing the steps bro.

Wow, that's a heckuva lot of products you have bro. I noticed some of them not readily available off the shelves too - so likely need to get directly from Meguiar's Malaysia during their warehouse sales? laugh.gif

The only gallon product I have at the moment is Osren's Bubble Wash.

Meg's APC I have seen it in spray form at Parkson retailing for around RM3x-4x before 20% discount...

Previous warehouse sale was ok but not this year... need to source from China biggrin.gif

Dear Sifu here, just going to start DIY to make the car clean and shine, read through quite some post and here is my to do and to buy list, please help to comment is it good enough to make the car clean and shine?

1. Wash Car  : Soft 99 wash & Wax
2. Claying    : Clay Mitt  + Soft 99 wash & wax as lubricant
3. Wax          : Soft 99 fusso coat mirror shine or Soft 99 luxury gloss
spray (which one better for more shine)?
4. Tyre          : Meguiars endurance tire gel or any other suggestion?
5. Wind screen : Soft 99 Glaco

May i know any other suggestion? Basically is to keep the car in good condition and bling bling always. Looking at easy application type of product.

Please help  notworthy.gif

shampoo = get from osren
clay = use a normal claybar first = osren's or meguiar's or soft 99
wax = try meguiar's cleaner wax. use it once every 2 months or when required
spray wax = use after each wash. try osren's or meguiars
Tyre = get a water based dressing from Osren.
windscreen = can try glaco lah.

need to factor in MF cloths, buckets, washmitt, brushes, hand applicator pads

I started with the Bosch GEX125. By now there are other better machine, eg Osren's 15mm DA which is affordable with good manufacturer support. Shinemate used to be cheap......

I still have my 2.0 liquid NXT. Seldom use it because its a bit dusty when buffing off... but I use it occasionally to finish it off smile.gif

There is one seller in Lazada has it at RM119
