Can anyone recommend a decent cleaner for use on rims? Especially with removal of stubborn brake dust/grime etc on rims that do not have regular TLC.

I bought a spray bottle of Abro Wheel Cleaner a few months ago and tried it out, but so far I didn't encounter the part where the chemical will turn 'purple'...


Either that or I'm not using the wheel cleaner correctly.

Usually end up I will use dishwashing liquid + a wheel brush/MF towel to clean the rims.

Jokes aside, I do understand the need to let the chemical 'do its thing' for several minutes, and from the videos I've watched, ideally once the brake dust and grime are dissolved, some products will turn purple [like Iron X etc] then only proceed with a brush to agitate it and final wash... Did I get the sequence correct?

Or Spray - agitate - wait few mins - wash...

May I ask what are the differences and uses of both Multi clean & Degreaser FX? Because to me they seem to overlap.

The only gallon product I have at the moment is Osren's Bubble Wash.

Meg's APC I have seen it in spray form at Parkson retailing for around RM3x-4x before 20% discount...

How do you guys wash engine bay? I mean... how to rinse the soap after agitating? Or just wipe with cloth?

Dear Sifu here, just going to start DIY to make the car clean and shine, read through quite some post and here is my to do and to buy list, please help to comment is it good enough to make the car clean and shine?

1. Wash Car  : Soft 99 wash & Wax
2. Claying    : Clay Mitt  + Soft 99 wash & wax as lubricant
3. Wax          : Soft 99 fusso coat mirror shine or Soft 99 luxury gloss
spray (which one better for more shine)?
4. Tyre          : Meguiars endurance tire gel or any other suggestion?
5. Wind screen : Soft 99 Glaco

May i know any other suggestion? Basically is to keep the car in good condition and bling bling always. Looking at easy application type of product.

Cash wash > Claybar > compound (meguiars ultimate compound) > polish (meguiars ultimate polish) > wax (soft99 fusso coat 12months)

Guys, what is the super shampoo can wash away those stubborn stain on coated surface? I remember when I'm young I saw Polyglaze 2-in-1 Deep Paint Cleaner Wash that has purple and blue content. Can't find this anymore.

So many visible swirls even on a white car... wow.
