Speaking of foam sprayer.

I managed to try out the IK 1.5 spray foamer. I like how it has more longevity compared to kwazar foamer despite being smaller.
And the build is sturdier too. Solid and can control the foam thickness based on the cartridge. Was using the grey standard one and felt it was already very thick

According to IK: ORANGE to Create Very Wet Foam, GREEN to Create Very Dry Foam and GREY that Creates Standard Foam

for special case paint. Some paints which are hard but flexible in the sense that it turns "softer" when heated. or for fresh from the resprayed panels within days. Seldom use though.

Not using spray gun coz don't have enclosed area. Spray gun mist is a lot finer which it can't really stand the light windy condition. Need to clean up the mess now. It's all wet.

Envy you...its been more than 2 years since i stopped working on painting my car as well..sold it already (old Kia Optima)...new cars dare not sendiri paint...hahaha

its really fun though , learn thru alot as well, and patching as well. Do you do patch work as well using filler and fiber glass mat? Thats fun as well, especially the hardener and curing.

But those are fast drying, hope the rain didnt mess it up, else need to re-sand it. Do you also use clear coat to finish it?

PS: maybe its good to get awning for the front porch.

Yes I do use 2 types of filler. For deeper cut I first use filler+harderner, then follow with fast drying extra fine filler. It takes 2 mins for the extra fine filler to dry up and allow to sand very lightly.

I never use fibre mesh and fibre glass mat when I found it's selling extremely expensive in ace hardware. However, I did mix filler with fibre glass (straw type) previously when fixing the extremely easily crack fibreglass bumper years ago. The paintshop use steel plate to hold the cracked fibreglass bumper together but it cracks whenever a very light hit. I end up DIY with fibreglass straw and it never crack until today.

Yes a 2K clear coat is must. I'm finishing the hood and bumper with 2k clear coat now. Need to fight the rain and bugs while waiting it to dry up.

Can consider Claber or Karcher if u looking for branded with quality hose connectors. Else, can search for garden hose reel for cheaper alternatives.

Bear in mind hose reel will take up space and make your roll of hose 'bigger' . Something like this https://www.lazada.com.my/products/pvc-gard...Xek7ub&search=1 will do the job. U won't want spent way lot more than your hose biggrin.gif

Hi all, besides ace hardware, where can i find some good and affordable spray wax? I only found turtle ice spray wax and meguiars ultimate quik wax. Im surprised that turtle ice spray wax is much more expensive than the meguiars.. any other spray wax can recommend for high gloss finish and long durability ( say 1-2 month ) ?

I don't think there is any easy on/off spray wax that would last for a month or 2 unless you keep your car in garage away from sunlight and rain.

Try check out Carpro Reload. This is a spray sealant though, not spray wax. Available from Cquartz Malaysia.
