Anyone got experience with Fusso Soft99 wax? Saw a few post back some forumer use this wax.

How does it perform? Can it really last 12 months in our weather?

What car wash shampoo u guys use with it?

I also wanna know about the Soft99 Kiwami wax. Was considering this due to it's glossy finish.
Thanks

Theres a good comparison here:
https://carporchdetailer.blogspot.com/2017/...ility-test.html

One advantage of Fusso and other solvent based waxes/sealants that come in a tin is that you can layer Fusso or another wax/sealant product and the petroleum solvents would do abit of cleaning and hopefully mop up light water spotting.

This is an advantage over SiO2 based coatings and SiO2 toppers like Reload where you cannot because the solvents will degrade the SiO2 coating/sealant.

The recent heavy rains really hammered the fusso coat test I was doing on my car parked under a tree. I noticed that the parts which weren't shaded by the tree seemed to do better. It seems quite clear to me that the main enemy of durability is from fine dust/sand from trees which act as a scrubber when there is rain.

would like to get recommendation of wax / sealant / coating which suitable for an elderly with:
1. ease of use for elderly without much detailing knowledge
2. preferable liquid / spray type than paste due to ease of use
which of these or any others that not listed would u guys recommend?
OSREN Luminous Paintwork Coat (Sio2 Spray Coating)
Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Spray Wax
Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax, G17516
SOFT99 Luxury Gloss
SOFT99 Fusso Coat F7
SOFT99 Fusso Coat Mirror Shine
SOFT99 Meta Clean Liquid Wax
Turtle Wax Express Shine Carnauba Spray Wax
Turtle Wax Ice Seal N Shine (lowest priority to this due to overprice)
PG Polymer Sealant (seems like nobody recommend this here?)

I think the bang/buck products would be the Soft99. There is a 12month version of the Fusso coat so the F7 is outdated. PG poly sealant is ok but its abit dated and it also has polishing ability, so be warned as it is not an LSP.

Hybrid ceramic coating used in combination with wax/sealant doesn't seem to make sense because:

1) Hybrid ceramic coating lasts longer than both wax and sealants and thus should be applied first to the car paint clear coat, then only apply wax/sealant.
2) Hybrid ceramic coating is mainly used for its hydrophobic, UV protection properties and its durability and thus should be placed as the last layer?
Both kinda contradict each other?
Feels like Hybrid Ceramic Coating should be used as the only coating for the car?

I think the idea is to avoid rubbing on a petroleum based wax/sealant over the ceramic coating which would degrade it. Some people want to layer on waxes/sealants for the better protection and a water based spray on ceramic coating would probably help to preserve the underlying wax layer for a longer time.

Let's say the base layer is a wax that typically lasts 3 months. The first/last layer is the ceramic/Si02 coating which lasts 5 months. Does it mean the wax will now last as long as the ceramic/Si02 coating? Simply put, the base layer will only last as long as the last layer?

I think it might last as long as 3+5 since the top layer has to go first before the bottom layer gets hammered. Or probably less if the top ceramic layer drags off some of the bottom layer when it goes away. You have to deal with waterspotting on longer life sealants/coatings so washing regularly is important. I found that parking under trees for shade degrades the sealant/coating faster because of the sand on the tree that washes down from the rain. Even if there isn't much sand, its abrasive and strips away the sealant faster.

Least cost would be fusso coat, and applying it under shade is quite easy. Doing regular weekly washing and regular waxing before needing to claybar/claypad embedded contaminants is the main thing to reduce the maintenance work you have to do.

Fusso has a water based hydro gloss wax which is supposed to have better compatibility with ceramic type sealant/coatings. So hand waxing the hydro gloss over ceramic won't degrade the underlying ceramic layer.
