Make sure a reputable brand, or else im afraid will ruin your car paint etc 😻😨😻😨😻

Yes im aware of this...but sometimes the unknown brand also can deliver results, just asking the user who has experience with the brand, in my mind right now is either igl ezycoat or cquartz 3.0 or sic...the price is not that steep and affordable...but if got anything cheaper and proven might as well buy the cheaper 1 huhuhu...

But your point is valid, the longevity and durability is one thing, the worst is it may ruin the paint.

I applied this Glanzy 10H to my car in July and it is still beading good. Only normal washing every 1 - 2 weeks. Hope it can last at least 1 year

Generally with coating, it should be able to last! so no worries, just make sure not have regular after rain water on the body baked under the sun, watermark becomes a paint.

Doing it DIY, is fulfilling as well. biggrin.gif

After applying coating, how often do you polish, clay and reapply new coating? Or just reapply a new layer without polish & clay?

Until the coat is gone. Will be able to know by spraying water. So far mine still working great after 6 months. Previously I was using Soft99 12 months wax (can't remember the name) but it attracted dirt which cannot be removed by normal car wash. You can see a layer of dirt sticking on the paint surface. Ceramic coating has no such issue. Will never go back to wax

As mentioned, completed 2 layer this couple of days on a 4 yrs old car. Dquartz is by far the easiest to apply and buff off. Great can be used on the windshield and windows too. 2nd layer with the balance from previous coating. Prep was the usual wash using clay cloth, dry, removed some watermarks and clean with isopropyl DIY 50/50 mix prior to applying coats. Let’s see how it holds up.

Looking good! BTW, didnt you polish after clay, or your car top layer was smooth enough, with no swirls?

No I did not as the paintwork looks good with very2 little swirls. After clay, it was smooth enough to apply the coats.

Ok can’t help myself since there’s plenty of leftover fro DquartzGo, decided to apply it on MYJ yesterday evening. This car was double layered previously last year, think sometime in June/May when I got the car. Applied all over the car including glass roof, windows and windscreens. For the bottom plastic, I used the 12H leftover fro coating X70. Both coatings still has leftover, might use it later to coat perhaps my sister’s car during CNY. Results is amazing!
I’m done DIY on all household cars for the next couple of years hopefully
