Overall I'm impressed with the camera so far, even my friend agrees the camera is on par if not better than her ip 6s. Maybe it's also because I'm coming from Sony, with their infamous waxy texture

No issues with the Android/Samsung lag? The S7 Edge would be my first Android phone.

The reason why I switched from iOS (iPhone 4) to WP was because I was extremely annoyed with the iTunes thing. The whole iTunes syncing thing pissed me off to no end. I really, really, really hated iOS back then. But I'm quite happy with my iPad since I don't do much there other than browse the internet, watch Youtube and read some books/PDFs. Guess it depends on the usage.

China launched already and i get to play and feel it. To be honest black, silver and gold look equally great! The white is so so and it looks like plastic.

The phone just feels nice on hand. Doesnt feel like 5.5inch phone. In fact it's almost same size like my mi4. The auto focus damn quick lol.

Haha, I have faith that we can have a level-headed Android vs iOS discussion. My method of ensuring the longevity of an iOS device is to stop updating the OS after a certain version. My iPad 3 is still on iOS 7 and it feels perfectly fine, whereas my friend's iPad 3 on a newer OS crashes quite a bit. Even my iPhone 4 on iOS 6 still doesn't lag too badly (I use it as an mp3 on the rare occasion that I go running).

Are there Android users that refrain from updating their software? My Android-using friends still give me the impression that their phones lag after some time. A lot of my friends using S6 don't seem to have a lot of nice things to say about their phone.

For Androids avoid installing unnecessary utilities such as memory managers, auto task killers , system enhancement, some of the battery improvement app. These only cause higher battery usage and at times can be destructive. Their benefits are short term only. However many users still like such app n is their choice. I rarely faced lag on most of my Androids. The only laggy one I would say is first Galaxy n Dell Streak
Android since Jellybean had improved a lot n such app totally unnecessary
This is based on my experience n helping troubleshooting my friends phonez. I have used so many Androids since the First Nexus One.
And do NOT install app from unknown apk or dubious sites - many of such app are poorly coded n will only bring about funny stability issues. Be wise n study any such apk before installing. Alas I do know many users just to save some money resort to such app. They had only themselves to blame if their phone runs into issues

The email confirmation has clearly state collection of preorder will start on 17mar till 20mar
So why bother to keep trying to contact Samsung on this?

Not really. It would be when it could run autocad and cadcam.

I don't think ios is all about smoothness. A lot of iFag used it as comparison. Actually I never once considered that, but rather how well the app or games perform which actually give ios the upper hand. Of course android had caught up a lot but still suffer in games, especially racing games. If ios developers ain't so greedy and start charging iap which turn off users, the gap could have been bigger.

I am just going to go to the Roadshow on 18th of March and test the phone there If I like it I might consider getting

I had applied leave for that day and excited to get my hand on it

1. new phone coming out, everybody speculating some disappointed some very excited some say lag
2. launch date is out, everybody sharing where can test/impression
3. pre-order info, everybody cursing/sharing how to pre order, or how they going to ban samsung for life.
4. making payment, stuck at debit/credit/paypal. different pricing etc etc ( currently we are here)
5. waiting shipment. cursing shop/courier service/kastam
6. phone received. complaining imprefection/QC/ problem/warranty
7. 1st day / 1st week use without protection, screen shattered, again complaining
8. after 3 months, start talking about lag, custom rom/knox/ brick
9. this phone sucks i am getting note 6/nexus/sony/huawei/xiaomi

in that chronological order.
if you are not happy, you can always go to XDA where they split every topic into a different thread. 1 for SP 1 for Casing 1 for custom rom etc.
