Now that's a wise move. Never ever get Sam Seng phones at launch.
Price drop usually very fast, and iron out issues.
At least 6 months where frust users will start dumping it.

Only phones worth installment plan is iPhone.

Hmm the thing I actually was planning to be an early adopter and was hoping to get the S7 Edge on the roadshow on the 18th. ( free VR :3 )

Just wondering is there any heaper alternative than that? If there is, I might consider.

Like if there's any cheap mobile plans + phone. Because I heard celcom's package is cheaper like 2200++ ringgit with don't know how many months. Can anyone clarify that?
*
telco package confirm cheaper than just getting phone from shop.

unless you are people like us who did not sleep on monday morning laugh.gif

i need another silver s7edge, but i might go for roadshow promo, telco plan or even promo from reseller like Directd.

Lots of people selling at garage sell, but seems like all ducking greedy. firm & kinda high price, since we already know how much they bought it. Cheaper rm100 only from RRP? I rather spend extra and give my money to other shop rather than those scalper who contributed to the trouble we had during the pre order.
*
is it seller greedy or buyer greedy?

How about the silver? Will it be too reflective/distractive under the light/sun? A lot of XDA forummers switched to black after handling at silver in shops.

Glad to hear about the good ergonomic. I do not like phablet.

silver screams look at me!!! my new phone!!!

The email confirmation has clearly state collection of preorder will start on 17mar till 20mar
So why bother to keep trying to contact Samsung on this?
I am sure those who had preorder will get an email if there are any changes ?

Guys/girls enough with the nonsense pls?

CC charges or not what the big deal? You can afford the charges then go for it, if you can't pay by debit card or cash. Simple as that, why need make a fuss about it?

The SD card from the preorder etc, who cares? Duhh!! It's free, ada stock tarak stock who cares?

Stick to the phone discussion pls not on the nonsense thing?
*
alright, what kind of stuff do you want to discuss?

lag? or how awesome the casing is?

forum 101

1. new phone coming out, everybody speculating some disappointed some very excited some say lag
2. launch date is out, everybody sharing where can test/impression
3. pre-order info, everybody cursing/sharing how to pre order, or how they going to ban samsung for life.
4. making payment, stuck at debit/credit/paypal. different pricing etc etc ( currently we are here)
5. waiting shipment. cursing shop/courier service/kastam
6. phone received. complaining imprefection/QC/ problem/warranty
7. 1st day / 1st week use without protection, screen shattered, again complaining
8. after 3 months, start talking about lag, custom rom/knox/ brick
9. this phone sucks i am getting note 6/nexus/sony/huawei/xiaomi

in that chronological order.

if you are not happy, you can always go to XDA where they split every topic into a different thread. 1 for SP 1 for Casing 1 for custom rom etc.

Dont complain, change. - Henry ford-

Nope.
Because i had all 3 colours with me for few hours today.

The gold is a bit dark this time, not as shiny n light as the s6 edge plus.
The black is really black and for me in front it looks the best.
Silver has the best rear look, but everywhere is fingerprint magnet.
*
how did you manage to get s7 edge to try out?

Using normal card probably will slow down the phone performace, that the reason why Samsung opt out ext SD card support last year in S6.
We pay so much on high end phones, invest on fastest card will definitely benefit us smile.gif
*
no it wont, lol. more suitable for dslr/mirrorless high speed shooting/4k recording.

they opt out ext sd card support because of the hardware they chosen cannot support that.

Report: Samsung Galaxy S7 Costs Around RM 1,056 To Build

As Samsung Galaxy S7 has started to become available in selected markets throughout the world, all sorts of analysis are being done to the new smartphone. For IHS who has a dedicated division that is specialized in analyzing contents within electronic products, it has come out with an estimated production cost for Galaxy S7.

Using the 32GB version of Galaxy S7 which the company has obtained from Verizon, the total cost of components for the device is said to be USD 249.95 (about RM 1,035). Once manufacturing cost is added into the mix, the figure will then go up to USD 255.05 (about RM 1,056). As a comparison, the 32GB Galaxy S7 is priced at USD 672 (RM 2,780) through Verizon in United States.

In general, the estimated production cost for Galaxy S7 is more or less the same as per Galaxy S5 and lower than Galaxy S6 edge but still higher than a 16GB Apple iPhone 6s Plus. Despite that, the Galaxy S7 actually contains a number of small refinements over its predecessor rather than a major overhaul according to IHS.

With a pricing that almost reaches the RM 3,000 mark, some might wonder why Galaxy S7 is priced that high when its components only cost Samsung less than half of its price tag. Well, one must not forget that there are always other costs involved in bringing a product to life including R&D, marketing, and distribution. It is a business, after all.
