 'Protection' light on amp lit..., spoilt already?

Hi, i found out that my amp 'protection' light is lit in red color...is that means that it's spoilt already? shocking.gif

Try to check the fuse of the amp. It might have been blown.

Then the protection light lit up for what purpose? a short circuit waiting to be rectify or else is just telling you the amp is gone(died)>?

means it detect something is wrong within the circuit and it will cut off within seconds
not neccessary to be kong'ed

it has nothing to do with the fuses... both on the power cable and the amp itself... if the one of the fuse had blown then there shouldnt be any light at all...

its more towards the circuit or connections on the speakers...

It not mean the amp will kong. Sometime woofer got problem the protection light also will on. SOmetime overload also will the light on too.

check your wiring. maybe got short circuit somewhere or maybe your woofer is kong, or maybe you overheated your amp. turn it off for a while and turn it on again, it will be fixed.

Bro .... I suggest that you check your grounding. Normally, if the amp has no proper grounding or overheated, it will switch into protection mode. Otherwise ... I think its spoiled d. blush.gif

did u try to disconnect all the cable and connect back? Check grounding too....connect to nother point and c if it work....

erm..the grounding is the one with wire to the seat bracket or metal?


Added on March 7, 2007, 11:33 pmwhen i try to on the player..the woofer got small 'boop' sound..but the woofer is ok when i try on other car lo...
