Hi guys, I want to change from laptop to a rig. My laptop currently is Asus G751, (Core i7 4710HQ, GTX970M). Reason is I feel my laptop is under utilized, I only play CS:GO, and Fifa 16 a lot. No other games. Can recommend me a build for it? 3k budget maybe? or if less better

QUOTE(terence_nwb @ Apr 28 2016, 04:22 PM) You asked for a rig so I assume monitor isn't required. Cool, thanks, I'll up the graphics to a GTX960 and I think it all looks nicely priced. Yep monitor I'll go with a 144hz since I need it for CS:GO. Big thanks yeahIntel Core i3 6100 - RM 464 Gigabyte H110M-DS2 (D4) - RM 289 Corsair 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 133 Zotac GTX750Ti 2GB GDDR5 ZT-70605-10M - RM 489 Kingston HyperX Fury 120GB SSD - RM 195 WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 215 FSP Hexa+ 400W - RM 145 Bitfenix Nova - RM 149 Total: RM 2079 (ETech price inclusive of GST) As cheap as requested, you can remove the SSD if you don't need it. |

QUOTE(terence_nwb @ Apr 28 2016, 04:45 PM) If you are looking for 144Hz monitor and setup, there is a similar build (ITX form factor though) in previous page for your reference. Hi there Terence, after going through some research, I've decided to go for a Mini-ITX build so at least it's easier to carry my PC around as I'm studying and sometimes I do go back home for a few months. I'm eyeing theSILVERSTONE RVZ02 MINI-ITX from Etech. Any recommended build for it? Planning to up my budget to 3-3.5k if needed. Thank you so much! |

QUOTE(terence_nwb @ Apr 30 2016, 06:36 PM) Intel Core i3 6100 - RM 464 144hz monitor bought already so no need to be included in the budget hehe. Okay will go with i5 then. Power supply for mini itx builds are generally always very expensive huh? ASRock H110M-ITX - RM 315 Corsair 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 133 Asus GTX960 4GB GDDR5 Turbo - RM 954 Kingston HyperX Fury 120GB SSD - RM 195 WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 215 Silverstone SX500-LG - RM 412 Silverstone RVZ02 - RM 349 Total: RM 3037 (ETech price inclusive of GST) You can upgrade the CPU to i5 if you wish. If you need to include the 144Hz monitor in the budget then you have to either increase budget or downgrade some of the parts. |
