for budget; more or less rm350. and requirements; i don really understand. isnt all ssd used to store and speed things up?
*
Yes, it is used to store and speed things up, but this is just the most basic/common usage of SSD.

Some people have extra requirements, such as brand, warranty, speed (benchmarking tools), form factor (2.5", M.2 etc.), controller (SATA/PCIe) etc.

You have quite a few choices with RM 350, either spend them all (max out) or get a cheap yet reliable 240GB SSD (will have some balance left) and call it a day.

Kingston SSDNow UV400 240GB, around RM 250
Intel 540S Series 240GB, around RM 360
Samsung 850 EVO 120GB, around RM 300

All are based on SATA 3 controller.

An upgrade to CPU platform is enough since no gaming is involved, the iGPU of Intel Skylake (HD 530) is 3 times faster than your current GT220 FYI.

Intel Core i3 6100 - RM 467
Gigabyte H110M-DS2 (D4) - RM 249
Kingston 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 149

Total: RM 865 (Techview price inclusive of GST)

For SATA 3 based SSD, the speed is limited by SATA 3 technology (6Gbps), Samsung 850 is one of the fastest SATA 3 based SSD in the market, especially when you benchmark it but it is too hard to notice the difference in real life usage and I don't think it is worth to pay RM 100+ extra for the small performance bump.

21.5" 1080p VA panel.

Palit, Zotac, MSI, Asus, Gigabyte, EVGA etc. are GPU manufacturers while Nvidia is the GPU chipset maker, GTX is one of their consumers grade GPU series.

And yes you can ask them to ship the items/rig directly to your doorstep, in fact most of the shops in Klang Valley do provide shipping service to whole Malaysia, shipping fee may apply though.

*
I see. I thought that every manufacturer have diff performance on the GPU.
Btw sorry to ask again, are the monitor available in smaller size(18-20'') as im looking to lower down the cost.

They do have small performance difference (within 5% - 10%) due to different clock speed (core, memory etc.) and cooler design.

Acer 18.5" K192HQL HD TN - RM 289
BenQ 19.5" DL2020 HD TN - RM 299
AOC 20.7" E2180SWDN FHD TN - RM 318

HD = 720p (1366 x 768)
FHD = 1080p (1920 x 1080)

[Budget]
RM3k~5k include accessories, preferably close to RM3k. But I don't think it's going to be close to 3k would it?

[Purpose]
Gaming, prawnographic, and stuff.

[Monitor resolution]
1080p with 60Hz maybe? Hope I could run everything below in around 60fps.

[Games & softwares that use frequently]
I linked most of the game names listed below to their respective steam pages in case you're gonna check em out, preview doesn't show them in different color like how I usually saw on other sites, so I thought I'd inform, just in case thumbsup.gif. Now, my games, I only play Minecraft, need to run it in max graphic with SEUS shader, plis...

It's gonna get lengthy here, gonna trouble sifus to spoon feed me with suggestions :kowtow: <- no kowtow icon
  1. Heat, don't have air cond, hope sifus can put this into consideration, don't want the machine to Bern.
  2. Graphic settings,
    1. Minecraft with shader on max setting, serious, I play minecraft, shader doesn't have to be ULTRA version, standard is enough.
    2. Rocket League and CSGO on max
    3. Those crappy unity games , well, as long as those games could run decently with shadow and anti alias on, I dont mind playing at 800x600 <- dat resolution
    4. Oh yeah, almost forgot my Final Fantasy XIII, XIII-2, and Type-0, low to mid settings is enough for me.
    5. Wish to play GTA V at low to mid setting, don't have GTA V, even if there's pirated copy, size is too big for me brows.gif to big brows.gif, steam copy can get from friends, so since I don't have it, this game can be ignored if it's going to strain the budget, darn, even the game's price is high.
  3. Habit, I spend most of time playing indie titles, to name a few more that I have yet listed, Tree of Life, The Long Dark, Don't Starve. So what I'm trying to say is, rig doesn't have to be super stronk, but able to deliver decent performance when needed(on those un-optimized game).
  4. Holes brows.gif, 2 holes are always occupied brows.gif, controller and mouse, maybe soon 3 holes brows.gif for keyboard brows.gif. Need Wi-Fi, have an old TP-Link dongle, don't know where I placed it, but prefer if there's something like laptop's wi-fi card or something, sorry, the last time I ever own a PC was like back in 2007 I think, and I don't have access to internet then, so I'm not sure about Wi-Fi stuff. So, Wi-Fi card stuff, if no Wi-Fi card stuff for PC, I guess need at least 4 ports for mouse/kb, controller, and wifi dongle I guess, and extra USB ports to spare if possible, for pendrive or whatever I might plug into the hole brows.gif.
  5. Keyboard, been with laptops for years, must.... use.... chiclet... sad life... I only know Razer DeathStalker is chiclet style
  6. Audio, need speakers, just a decent quality would be enough, not audiophile, and I use headphone when playing competitively.
  7. Monitor size, size doesn't matter brows.gif
  8. My friend got a himself a new rig with GTX 950, I feel the urge to beat him with some later model, like GTX 960

[Location]
Live in Port Klang, about 5km away from Klang only. Prefer place that have a proper price quotation tho, I don't feel like going into different shops to check all the prices for all the parts. I am a lazy person I guess.

Please help suggest the ideal rig for me, thx in advance sifus :kowtow: <- no kowtow icon

CM N200 is a mATX case, you need to look for mATX mobo (or mITX).

May I know your budget for the mobo (or whole rig)?
LTE USB Adapter is expensive.

D-Link DWM-221, around RM 300.

Or just get a cheap Lenovo LTE enabled phone like A606 (around RM 220), you can use it like a normal phone or portable hotspot which is more preferred to most of the people I believe.
Nope, you didn't get my points, when a Skylake i5 and your FX 4350 rig can be built with 2k budget, I don't see any reason to pick the latter build anymore unless fanboy-ism or brand loyalty is involved. This is clearly not i3 dual core case vs the quad module on FX 4350.

FX 4350 is fine in Dota 2, I never disagree on this, in fact the new Source 2 based Dota 2 is more heavy on CPU part now. I am talking on the single threaded performance on other games/apps, some perform well (on par with Intel), some don't, why we need to take risk on this when we clearly have a better choice to make?

And I will stop discussion on this due to heavy fanboy-ism detected, no point taking it further which doesn't bring benefit to anyone here, we have to focus and strike for the best buck for the bang build instead of dragging in something that isn't related.

I assume it is for gaming purposes.

Intel Core i5 6500 - RM 835
Gigabyte B150M-D3H (D4) - RM 379
Corsair 8GB DDR4 2133MHz Value RAM - RM 130

* - There is a Palit GPU discount by using coupon code on GemFive, can save up to RM 240 if I am not mistaken, so the Palit GTX1070 Jetstream card will cost only RM 1760 if you get the deal, please check GemFive regularly, the seller of the card is Occasin, the seller will restock from time to time, so the status of the item might either be sold out or on limited unit most of the time.

If you get the above deal, you will have enough budget for i7 6700 (RM 1284).

Good luck.

Oh sorry if this trouble you, what monitor can I get as well? I might stretch the budget up to RM1.5k. Would prefer resolution up to 1080p and HDMI port has to be present.

Thanks again!

The problem is that 1440p monitor is still very expensive, Dell 25" U2515H costs roughly RM 1400 currently mega_shok.gif

Boss, recommended required.

Looking for a casing to fit the new GTX 1070

Currently eyeing Zotac Amp Extreme, the card looks huge.

Am on CM N200 but thinking to move to a better casing with better airflow and etc.

Any suggestion?

Looking for below 500 ( Well, cheaper better since the 1070 is gonna be ex tongue.gif ) and I'd prefer the side transparent window.

Thanks!
