Anyone here have already tried the Bose QuietComfort 35s? How does the sound signature differ when compared to the sounds reproduced by the Audio Technica M50x?

If you want NC, you can check out PXC-550. Will only be out end of this month, but a few initial reviews looks promising. I'm on the fence on that as well.

Went to Atlas Experience Store in Gardens earlier today to give it a try. Since it was my first time using a pair of headphones with NC, I felt so odd due to the total silence but then again, that' what NC do. After spending almost to an hour listening to various genre of music, can see why reviews gave it a thumbs up. Is there any store which I can try out the PXC-550? I doubt Jaben will have a demo unit.

Not in Malaysia any time soon... i'll be going to HK and Aus in Sept and Oct, i'll see if I can find one there

Wow!  rclxms.gif

Yes. I did purchased it in the end. The sound signature is very different compared to my existing Audio Technica M50x. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the sound reproduction and the clarity of the tunes. Simply stunning lust.gif

Where did you get it from? Atlas?
If you get it from their shop in Lazada and used their coupons coulod have saved RM200

Have you compared it against the Sennheiser Momentum wireless?
*
Nope, if I have time this weekend i'll probably visit Senn store in Bangsar to compare but from what others mentioned the PCX-550 NC is much better than the M2 but slightly below/almost similar with the QC35. However the SQ is slightly below the M2. Might be at the expense of the improved NC, but the upside with the PXC-550 is the ability to off/on NC in Bluetooth mode as well.

I bought it from UK smile.gif Over there costs RM1300 excluding VAT biggrin.gif

Ahh you're in UK now? Nice, can really save a lot then. I could have gotten the QC35 for around that price as well if I waited a month till i'm in Aus, but the ability to off NC even in Bluetooth mode tipped me over to the PXC-550.

I think i will go for it lar,blind buy...
Read that it's a slightly dark & warm sound overall izit?
With very good bass and quite recessed also...
If it is similiar with my custom one pro,den should be no problem lar...
See anione with HD650 experience can shed some lights,and also comparison between focal elear...
As so far a few headphones dat i tested,onli elear can poison me...
*
The custom one pro I listened to last time had excessive bloated bass drowning all other frequencies with almost non existing highs. Totally different signature than 650, unless they've changed the signature of the cop recently..

Official rate for headphones is 5% + 6% gst. You can argue with them if they charge extra.

Is this documented anywhere? Last time when I asked they had a long story for the 15%, just wasted my breath talking to those jokers. But that did inspire me to think of alternatives, so it's all good biggrin.gif
*
It's in the customs website. 15% was the official rate before there was GST. It was 5% duty + 10% service charge

As long as they are selling cheaper than anywhere else, I don't see any harm if they earn a bit. It's a win-win for both sides.
But to meet this criteria is not easy tongue.gif

Guys is it worth it to go for lowest range CIEM instead of those universal iem such as se535 and others?
*
Different CIEM companies gives different performance even if it's the lowest range. E.g. Custom Arts lowest range is highly rated even amongst higher end universals. So you'd have to be more specific.

Been playing some Rainbow Six Siege with it, pretty good I'd say. Gotta get use to the different treble but otherwise due to the wide sound stage, the direction and distance are very accurate for FPS gaming.
Yeah, the R70x clarity is almost unreal. Analytical at times but mostly you will just enjoy the clarity, the upfront-ness and brightness that it offers. The only downside is the rather narrow sound stage I guess.

Sound stage = HD700 > HD600 > R70x
Details = R70x > HD700 > HD600
Neutrality = R70x > HD600 > HD700
Warmth = HD600 > HD700 > R70x

Although my friend got a pair of HD650 next to my room, I don't like it enough to have a better impression of it icon_rolleyes.gif

I actually got a pair of Sennheiser HD25-II as well. I like them more than the HD650 rolleyes.gif
*
HD650 is very picky with their source, but the HD700 sounds good out of most except for occasional hot treble on certain tracks. HD700 comfort is still one of the best to me which I find one of the most important aspects for headphones smile.gif

Sorry for 1st time purchase through overseas...

Around KLIA
Considering the Toll + Petrol + Hassle + Time, RM48 is "OK" for me.

Tax still not sure how much...

Just got a call, total charge for the tax will be RM109.70.
She said it was including the Pos Malaysia handling fee, but I'm still sceptical on that part as duty + gst is supposed to be 5+6%.

u ordered one also?
i will make a trip there tomorrow,as can fetch my gf from klia also...

I think the girl told me wrong. Should be not inclusive of handling charge. So I expect it'll be 109.70 for tax/gst + 50 handling charge.
You'll find out tmr if it's true.
