Not wise using that sort of material in our climate. I find these plastics last about 12 months before decaying.
I have a pair of Beyer DT-311s that are in good condition after nearly 30 years, while a Sennheiser set had the yellow foam turn to dust after a year.

Hi guys, new to this

am wondering how much a difference is a pc sound card vs headphone amp/dac such as

Sound Blaster ZxR Sound Card vs NAD D3020 v2

For headphones I'l be getting Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro
Speaker for movies : Edifier s350DB 2.1 speaker

For gaming (Surround Sound, dont need those 5.1 or 7.1 setup), listening to music, and watching movies.

just wondering how big a difference for a pc sound card compared to headphones amp

I think the DT990 Pro is a 250 Ohm impedance, so it need some voltage swing to go loud.

The FIIO K5 is specified at 1.5W into 32R and 150mW into 300R. This means 6.7Vrms into 300 Ohm, which will be very loud and more than most PCs can manage

i saw brand new fischer audio eterna cheap and managed to lower it to rm130 in kk, what a steal. My old eterna broke down few years back. My UE900 sounded awesome but some songs aren’t mastered properly and the bass is so thin. This eterna bring it all up again, awesome.

depends on ur amp.

HD6xx is slightly more detailed when paired with proper, powerful amp, BUT i like the HD58x sound signature more. Slightly more extension on the bass and the highs, making HD58x more suitable for more genre of music especially modern songs. everything else is quite similar. that is why at USD150, HD58x is the deal of the century. laugh.gif

also, HD58x can run pretty well straight from handphone (using my iphone 6splus occasionally). cant say the same about the HD6xx.

Hey all, wanna ask you all if you guys get any headaches from bluetooth headphones?

I always get it when I use them. They are freaking convenient but I don't know if it's because the reliability of the brands or what. The one i tested was cheap ones, so wanna check if it's a common occurrence for some people despite the brands/prices before I invest in one.

do you get any headache with non-Bluetooth headphones? and how loud is your usual volume?

I got some issues when it past certain dB for a long listening hours. Since then, decided to tone the volume down a little and got no headache ever since.

With in-ear I don't. Over the ear I always get headaches. I suspect it's the weight and also the clamping pressure.
