I just bought a figure from Japan (Around RM200~ including shipping)
My parcel just arrived in Malaysia last week. However I was a bit confused with the tracking number.

The one on Japanese tracking said already returned from kastam


However on Pos Malaysia display processed at KLIA



Anyone encounter this issue before  ?

yeah there's nothing to worry about here. i'd just focus on pos malaysia tracking once the item entered japan

a question here for figure collectors.

do we need to keep those figure boxes? apparently hardcore collectors do keep them but i don't really understand why they still keep them in boxes instead of displaying them at a glass shelf?

Displaying is always nicer...

But.... i dont like the dust it attracts...

Also... I thougth of resellign them to clear some collection... BUT... dun know how to go about it.. probably gonna be more hassle than I would like..

this is my first time buying from Amiami. The item will be tagged as "merchandise" by AmiAmi and the price will probably be more than MYR500.

will the item get held by customs? will they check my item? Will I be able to get them back if confiscated?

I don't see much reason to hold a figurine, even if it is as you say, lewd. Unless there's a specific law for that, which I don't know. I can't say if Poslaju can bypass the inspection.. maybe?

bunny is not (source: I bought 3 and never once got confiscated), lewd figurine however have very suggestive pose and often their breast/under are exposed and not covered, this kind will get confiscated

They will not confiscate anything, they will just hold it and return it to sender.

And yes, the standards are arbitrary, see the officer's level of tolerance and/or mood

Their "consfiscate" means they are suppose to resend back to sender.

I had that experience with some more... dangerous banned product... they require a letter of release form relevant authorities or they return to sender.

My figurine purchase was never 'lucky' to dodge custom inspection, so always tax by custom, whether did they open and check I can't be sure but I think most of the time they did and reseal it with new tape

Yes, I did preorder the figure, but it hasn't been released yet. The release date is in July. I will do a follow up once the figure has been released and if the figure managed to get past the customs.

Been a while since my last purchase (2021), I was debating on getting this one as I pretty much already stopped this hobby due to high prices and lack of space. Yesterday when I saw a B/B grade going on sale on Amiami, and after doing some calculations with the current exchange rate + shipping, I realised it came up to barely below RM500 so I won't get taxed. After a short chat with a friend, I took the plunge and placed my order.

I plan to buy a 1/4 FREEing figure (usada pekora) directly from Goodsmileshop global, only 2000 yen shipping.

Does anyone have experience with goodsmileshop ordering figures >RM500 recently, will it get held by customs? They usually ship with EMS.
