Welcome aboard.
No worries, most of us here not a hardcore fan of certain Anime series (my guess?)
Like me, as long the figure cough my eyes, I don't mind to get it no matter what the price or series of character came from.
F U.................. mad.gif
Here I am; with my financial keep steady & growing, got my own house & car,  & already have steady job.
And yet I here I am, forever alone with only have my "anime figure" waifu to accompany me.

LOL Im also in forever alone state at the moment
Because face problem i guess

Me as a medical practitioner, since college days im surrounded by study worms. Anime fans in my college are very rare actually and collectors almost doesn't exist.

Hopefully my figure photography work is enough to impress a girl in future. Lmao

i think if haram item use third party other postage services like fedex is better, its more easier to pass, i saw at their t&c they can help carry over haram items

Displayed value is around 300+, actual is 700+. I think they keep it because the box is so big. I paid the RM100 "agent fees" which is really suspicious, but I just want this to be over. Finally got her  rclxms.gif Ima stop buying big stuff for awhile now.
*
rm100 for declared value of rm300+, definitely a ripoff ranting.gif i think they just simply put a price on it just to get some 'kopi' money, if u dont give they just confiscate & say its haram, dam shit... imagine if u didnt under-declared, what price will they charge u...
but yeah cant do anything bout that but im glad u safely get back ur figure, our custom is so unpredictable sometime its scary even just importing sfw figures, well its a risk for us collectors of ero figures in malaysia haiz

nice sexy figure btw thumbup.gif

Guys, from now on until perhaps election ends, be careful with figure purchases. Everyone is extra hard working in order to show it to everyone. Kastam included.

Stories are already coming out from my friends, every box regardless of size or value they open to check. Bubble wrap also they rip it off. To those who have preorders releasing this or next month, good luck and may the God of Eros bless you.

wow ty for the warning ohmy.gif

luckily ive bought my ''big'' stuff earlier this month, i guess i wont be buying anything anymore for now just i case... phew

Hmm from my observation so far (this apply to in-stock items, send using EMS)
First, you go to Hobby Search ( http://www.1999.co.jp/eng ) then look for the item. In the item page you scroll down abit until can see the weight. Then, add 60% to the weight, then compare with EMS rate table (the next highest) http://www.post.japanpost.jp/int/charge/list/ems_all_en.html (see Asia column)

For example, consider this Play Arts : http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-036288
In Hobby Search the page is: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10513773
Scroll down that page and you can see the weight is 584g, so add 60% to weight will make it around 934g. Compare it to EMS rate table, the next highest rate that is close to 934g is 1kg, which is 2,100yen. This is the price amiami quoted me for EMS for the Play Arts Kai Tina Branford. Japan EMS seems to use actual weight for the shipping cost. If your figure box is big but it doesn't weight much, what will contribute to the shipment weight later is the weight of the shipment box (bigger box will weight more)

Might not be accurate but shouldn't be far from the actual shipping cost (maybe few threshold lower or higher)
*
XD no need to be accurate, just want to know agak agak price, a recent buy price is enough reference for me

long time no buy figure stuff just want to know how the ems postage pricing nowadays, like before i think est is around rm100

nothing really last man sweat.gif the only thing is something will ''last'' longer than others [but eventually will gg too...]

tech stuff like phone/pc/etc last like 1~2 years before new tech comes out, of course this only apply to those that always ''chasing'' new stuff, or a new tech that will make old one super obsolete

same with vehicle/cars/etc, it will last long but if u r the type that always want new models, then 1~5 years need change liao, and price will drop no matter how u take care of it

hobby stuff like figures and collections will degrade over time no matter how much u take care

the only thing i can think of that worth long time investment is property/house. mostly will steady and raise in price through time

but in the end, dont 'think' too much about these stuff, just be happy to whatever u r doing now smile.gif

i have good experience with fedex though, i import dolls from japan and fedex is the cheapest of all compare to ems/dhl/etc, even with fedex priority
but i guess it depends on the size though, maybe figures/smaller box not so worth it, i bought dolls are long big one

my latest purchase is just recently, i bought dd sherly norme with 10% discount!

real price is 78000yen + 6000yen service & postage, i ask to declare lower to 30000yen which i think is around rm1100? they provide a receipt which state all the calculation/price properly, though thrs a weird extra freight payment around rm325 which add up to a total of around rm1450

i ended up paying rm150 for tax which im ok with, its about 10% which is almost correct

So Fedex pay the tax first then collect it from you. Will custom open and check the content when they are dealing with fedex agent?
*
yeap, they will auto pay for u and then collect frm u at ur house, its stated at their website too [auto clear custom]. custom open or not im not sure, so far i never have my item open before when i use pos service as agent, not even ems/poslaju. thats why till now i just tell them to ''deal'' for me

but i think using fedex/dhl/private one will be less likely to be open compare to poslaju

QUOTE(MeToo @ Nov 19 2018, 10:17 AM)
Yes, they will collect the tax upfront, whether they pay or not I dont know, but I have never faced any further tax issue with them, its good when you want to know what is the max/exact cost you're going to get hit without any surprises/

I have never had problem with customs for FedEx/DHL.

yeah basically this nod.gif
