I'm wary of heat form light sources with my figures.

My ID currently designing my display cabinet all got funky light to make the figures stand out... but... I'm worried I end up with melted plastic..

Yeah this is a pretty good idea haha, as the other person mentioned, what about the light source for this? It's external right? I currently have all of my figures in boxes and haven't displayed them.

I called pos malaysia (surprisingly they picked up fast and the man was very nice and polite) and he confirmed that the parcel is with customs in JB. I asked him what to do, if I should wait for a call/email/letter and he said since the status is just new (updated yesterday), he suggest I call customs to ask regarding the progress first, he gave me the number 03-87773694.

And I have called several times and no one picks up. Wondering if anyone knows another number to call?

PS. I am from the Northern part of Johor so the trip to JB is ~2 hours so I wanted to properly confirm that I can go collect it before doing so. Scared that it becomes a wasted trip 

Though I will probably wait it out till after CNY, road travel is a no-no during festive season.

I am really sorry for asking these noob-ish questions, this is my first time getting a parcel held by customs (all figures >RM500 will be bought everywhere but AmiAmi from now on)

Apparently it's a new policy they are putting in place this year. I went personally to JB to claim my figure from customs recently, and the counter guy was being very nice to me. And he brought me over a big MySafe notice pasted on the wall and told me that they were going to start implementing this system soon - he said that it was more or less of a ?safety certificate for toys (and btw, I hate it when people refer to figures as toys) - I guess it's something like the SIRIM certificate for electronics that are imported from overseas? And he was going on about how they have to make sure that the toys that are being imported and sold to customers are certified locally as safe for kids (but I did not ask him if they would still charge it if the figure was bought for personal keeping of an adult, I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could XD)

And I don't know the criteria with which they will withold figures for MySafe certification... is it from multiple items, or above RM500, or if they are going to open every figure box onward? I am having a figure (less than RM500) being delivered to me from Japan so I guess I will find out soon enough.

Personally, I think MySafe serves no purpose except the exclusive reason to charge more money. 

guys i want ask somethin about the shipping rule... kastam tell me now if order more then 1 figure in 1 box (even 2 pcs) need go MySAFE there to do report see they want unleash or not， is this a new rule?   and i try order Chocola 1/7 Scale Figure (NekoPara) - Native and Vanilla 1/7 Scale Figure (NekoPara) - Native but is sensitive figure...can that 2 figure shipping to malaysia with out confiscate ?

Well the box is gone, now it depends on whether the figurine inside is affected.

If its not, and you dont care about the box (i.e. you will be displaying the figure) then its not s bad...

Well from the pictures, it seems that the damage occurs from the bottom of the shipper box (correct me if I'm wrong).

My experience with AmiAmi is that they don't really pad the bottom and the top of the shipper box enough to protect the item from impact/damage , hence there is always a chance that the item is damage (from the top or bottom impact) during transit. Your best bet is for the courier handling your package being prudent enough  to handle the package diligently.

Did you shipped via SAL or EMS? or was it by way of DHL?

yikes that sucks. which figure is that and what is the box size? is it the 120size? in my case they always use bigger box size so that they can stuff the paper around the figure box and on top of the box so this is news to me. tbh i'm scared to see this since i'm expecting a lot of package from them. i prefer my figure box to be in a good condition so i feel you. i suggest you contact them, their customer support is very reliable.

oh she's a 1/4 bunny, so that's why there is barely any space in the box. i think they should've went for bigger size box like they usually do. i'm guessing they probably don't have enough box right now due to the pandemic. since they're keeping all those unshipped SAL boxes in their warehouse. replacing just the figure box is unlikely but they will probably give you the option to send back the figure for a replacement or a full refund.

oh wait sorry i just realized she's 1/7. just assumed all bunny figures are 1/4 lol.

you choose EMS so i assume your package is insured? this is a great progress tho i hope you'll get a good result from pos malaysia.
