If really start blocking, maybe will switch to Hulu plus to finish those not yet watch TV series.

Netflix needs to learn how to bring more content here. I don't understand why TV series that have ended years ago also not yet offered. Not like any local TVs are still running those shows anymore.

it's not netflix that doesn't want people (outside US) to watch.. It's the owner of the movies/shows that wont allow that.

Damn, Netflix Is Cracking Down on VPNs and Proxies

If you use a proxy to access another country’s version of Netflix, you may be screwed. Up until now, the streaming service hasn’t been good at stopping them — but that’s about to change.

“In coming weeks, those using proxies and unblockers will only be able to access the service in the country where they currently are,” Netflix Vice President of Content Delivery Architecture David Fullagar wrote in a blog post.

Some members use proxies or “unblockers” to access titles available outside their territory. To address this, we employ the same or similar measures other firms do. This technology continues to evolve and we are evolving with it. That means in coming weeks, those using proxies and unblockers will only be able to access the service in the country where they currently are. We are confident this change won’t impact members not using proxies

As you probably already know, when you watch Netflix in Australia and then go overseas and watch it there, you don’t see the same list of shows and movies. Since the streaming service has licensing agreements that vary from country to country, it doesn’t offer a universal roster — which is why people often use unblocking services to access Netflix’s offerings from abroad.

In the past, anyone who wanted to watch, say, the US version of Netflix simply had to install a service like an Unblocker or VPN to access the show.

Well, if netflix block vpn / proxy then start going back to Jack Sparrow. Too bad for them and the distributors who want to geo-restrict their content.

Hulu equally fucked up
For highly rated series, they now only upload 5 episodes for you to watch only.
The rest will be removed.

Reason is they want people to keep coming back to watch
How fucked up is that

Netflix Malaysia has no Futurama, Fringe, Walking Dead, etc etc etc so many more.

80% content unavailable.

And those 20% content that available, most of them are either low rated stuff that no one wants to watch,

The content makers let Netflix USA view the content, Netflix charges US$8 and share profit with the content makers.

Netflix charges us US$8, same price as USA, share profit with the content makers. But the content makers make sure there are 80% less content for us. And many of such 80% content are not even being run by our local stations so the content makers won't get more profit at any rate. They just want us to have less while we pay the same price.

That's what TPPA will bring to Malaysia.

Yeah ?

In that case, what's left of Spartacus ? hmm.gif

In any case, shall I subscribed to Netflix ?

I think I can spare RM 42 monthly anyway, but during the first free month trial, I saw there's a lot of series/movies that I've not even watch anyway.

why not just let region outside that particular region watch the show?

If Netflix gets blocked, iFlix is the next best thing. Their selection isn't great, but it's steadily improving.

P. S. Netflix will probably undo their VPN blocks after some time. They're only doing this to appease their content providers.

Unotelly and Unblock-US got hit badly in March by some legal action that Netflix took sad.gif

That's why I switched over to others biggrin.gif

If you're looking for an always working Netflix USA solution, check out my url

p/s: It's always updated coz my parents watch Netflix every night for an hour or two. So I've to make it work somehow.

are you sure you are describing iflix? the 2000 titles on netflix malaysia has much older movies than iflix offering. until they remove the regional restrictions, at this moment, the only edge netflix malaysia has is its own programming such as House of Cards etc. iflix currently has more popular tv series than netflix malaysia is offering (minus own programming).

for example, iflix got XFiles, Buffy, futurama, netflix malaysia doesn't.
iflix got Agents of Shield, the Mentalist, Prison Break, Person of Interest, Netflix Malaysia doesn't.

The amount of shows on iflix but not on Netflix Malaysia are mind boggling. All thanks to region restrictions.

What nonsense, even Malaysia Netflix has much more content than Iflix. Besides , it's only a few ringgit more if you know where to buy....

I don't know where to buy. But I used it for a couple of months, really don't feel Netflix Malaysia has much more than what people claimed compare to iflix.

iflix got all 3. I suppose you named those as examples of what iflix currently have over netflix malaysia. Yes there are a tons of titles which iflix currently have over netflix malaysia now, whether it is tv series or movies. And iflix movie selection is more cater to local audience taste than netflix malaysia, which has a lot of indie titles and b movies that local audience not too interested in. For those blockbuster movie on netflix malaysia, well they are actually older than those available on iflix.

Anyway, Netflix USA does have tons more titles and more recent movies which not available on iflix. But their regional restrictions means iflix actually get a chance to establish its foothold here before netflix can sort things out.

Again, if local region content only, might as well use iflix. I tried Netflix Malaysia, more or less the same, but price big difference.

Cough cough, that's why we use a DNS changer to switch to Netflix USA, bro bangwall.gif bangwall.gif bangwall.gif

Here's the guide. I've been using Netflix USA for the last few years, and like you, I've iFlix for a year free, but there's no comparison right now smile.gif I wish iFlix gets more titles though

And here is the so called new movies (2015+) on Netflix Malaysia:

http://unogs.com/search/?q=-!1900,2016...b=Relevance&p=1

Very few recognizable names. To be fair, I do like some of the indie stuffs.

You won't find title like The Avengers 2 here. But it is available on Netflix USA. That gives you an idea of how USA version differs from ours.

At least you can use Getflix for Netflix USA. But Hulu Plus disabled all foreign credit cards. So, no way to get Hulu Plus officially nowadays sad.gif

Gonna miss my dramas

Is it? Hmm. They are also not selling gift codes anymore. But my HULUPLUS is still working. You can try those sellers in garage sale...apanama izzuredcoba

You can also use a Virtual credit card to spoof US credit card.

I got GETFLIX lifetime account btw... rclxm9.gif

Was even watching US NETFLIX content while i was in France...LOL.

Only reason I'm not so keen on Iflix because the device to view so damn limited.
PC/Android/IOS. I have to connect it to TV someway or another.

If only they add their app into smart TVs / PS4 / Xbox the coverage will be better.
