RM50.00 is the standard charge prescribed by the Solicitors' Remuneration Order but usually, if the solicitor certifying the document is the same solicitor attending to your current transaction, they do it for free.

Most legal firms will not charge their clients if the transaction has just been completed few months ago. It's not a general rule but 6 months should be the cutting point.

Whatever it is, RM50.00 is just a nominal fee. If they refused to give it to you free then you just pay them.

Don't know where did you get your source from but TS obviously said the documents are to be certified by a solicitor. I think you have mistaken it with "CTC Title" which is required for the application for state consent to transfer. TS is not applying for state consent.

Yeah, it's always nice to request for at least 2 certified true copies of the Sale and Purchase Agreement during the subsistence of the transaction XD

Though your statement may be true but it does not answer TS's question. TS wanted to know if it's normal for solicitors to charge to CTC individual document of titles which the answer is yes, solicitors are entitled to charge and solicitors CAN CTC individual document of titles which is also contrary to what you have been given to understand which is "Certified true copy is not produce by the lawyer" =D
