hey folks, i need advise here

my iPhone (6 plus) keep on telling storage running out or storage full.. i have tried to delete many things, but then it tell storage full again.. when i connect to iTunes, i can see most of the storage space occupied by "Other"... but i can't see then in the phone.. i check apps data, the record only shows biggest apps with data is WhatsApp which is around 300+mb only.. now i'am really puzzled how to reclaim the storage..

any advise? thanks in advance

could it be the update? iOS 9 is around 1.2gb of you haven't updated it
your iPhone will automatically download it without your knowledge

How much space is "Other" using up?
I've not had this problem before, but a friend had it and it turned out that he had a very long history of messages (main iOS app for text, mms and iMessage) with lots of photos and voice recordings. After clearing his message history and restarting his phone, he got back more than 2GB of space. It seems your message history as well as a lot of "Documents & Data" files from messaging or social apps tend to get grouped into the "Other" category by iOS.

If that doesn't help, maybe try what's suggested on these sites;
http://www.idownloadblog.com/2015/11/17/ho...age-app-caches/
http://www.igeeksblog.com/how-to-remove-ot...ta-from-iphone/

One thing I've noticed is that people who often have issues of large "Other" storage tend to update, backup and restore via iTunes. I've seldom seen people who rely solely on iCloud backups and OTA updates have this problem. Weird.

too much space, based on the bar the "orange" color for "other" taken up most space, 60-70% of the space. i've deleted most app and library content, by right the phone is almost empty.. i've check the "Documents and Data" for each app, as i mentioned the biggest app that taken space was Whatsapp which is 300+mb only.. my message history is not that long, back dated since around 5-6months ago only.

i ended up factory reset the phone this morning. so frustrated! have to paid so much for a phone but still have to go all this hassle.. think this phone really not worth the price.

yes I got this problem also but haven't found any solution thus far. as using 9.0.2 when I get that problem, now upraded to 9.2.1 still having the same problem..... so annoying..

I did a factory reset, it solves the problem for 1 day, after that I can see it eating up space again (slowly)..
*

got this problem before. know what i did? sold my 16gb 6+ and get 6s 64gb.

problem solved.
*
The issue is, you did not put much thing in the phone, but somehow its full.. 64gb also will be just a waste if half of the storage occupied by "nothing"

Anyway, currently on mine the issue gone.. After a few days, still have 7gb free storage

that 'nothing' is actually your cache, history and some temporary stuff. but seriously, 16gb nowadays not enough. can consider getting bigger storage in the future wink.gif
u dont wanna always clean up your phone every 2 weeks or so.
*
well i suppose the debuted best mobile system, iOS should be better in managing junk files than Android.. my android tablet has been close to 2 years, never full.. i've been using this for just around 5-6 months, already like that, how to use it for years then.. well, 16gb is not enough if i store things in here, but not the case here, i deleted most things but then again its full.. heck i just use this iphone for whatsapp, telephony and internet only, coz thats the only thing it can be used for (and not to forget to flash2 it around, showoff rclxs0.gif ).. LOL.. other things i do on my android devices..

but, that was last week, now it seems behaving.. maybe it was whatsapp and other app issues
