Yes, it will trigger when your car hit something or your car being hit by something. It called G-Sensor

1) The xiaomi dvr will always recording (it will automatically start recording when it powered up and will stop recording when it turn off)
2) U can set the G-Sensor sensitivity (Low, Mid, High). When the camera detect "Shock", it will automatically capture image in JPEG file and it will create separate file for 20 second MP4 clip which contain 10 second footage before "Shock" and 10 second footage after shock.

No problem. If he want the camera "on" when the car park. He can plug in to powerbank to keep it on.

Other car DVR with this price range also won't have the "always on dvr" coz it plug into cigarette power. If he want always on, just do direct wiring.
