OK, i've gotten this error twice while playing custom maps in Wc3. The first time it happened, i thought it was nothing significant so I just restarted my computer and continued playing. And then it happened again, and this critical error isn't the usualy FATAL ERROR that pops up. Instead, it goes like this:

First time: (dota)
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Second time: (Tug-of-War)
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

This is what I realised:

1) My wc3 isn't installed on E:\, so why is this file "E:\Drive1\temp\buildwar3x\STORM\Source\SFile.cpp" causing an error?

2) I have checked the directory mentioned, and it doesnt even exist.

3)I've got 100GB of space left on C:\, where Wc3x is installed, and about 200MB of space in E:\, where the non-existant file "E:\Drive1\temp\buildwar3x\STORM\Source" is in.

Sorry If this post doesn't belong here, but i figured if i put it in the techical support section, few people with warcraft 3 would see the post

Thanks

try this
open any windows Folder Option > View > choose "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) "

btw, after you got that file
i think you will also found nothing...

Does the error occur to all the games in WIII, or only tht particular customed map u played?

Cause if that is the case, probably is the map... is bugged

Original wc3 + original wc3 tft. The maps i played were dota and tug-of-war, both of which only i had the error; no one else had it. So i think the problem doesnt lie within the map.

Can u download ram tester to test your ram?
It could be ram problem, or connection problem...
Connection slow/laggy caused the software to get data error and thats why caused that...

Dude,
try this
go to www.ccleaner.com to download the free cleaning program.

Scan for temp/log files(the program calls it Cleaner) <== in the program the scan button is called Analyze
Scan Issues(its for registry) <== in the program the scan button is called Analyze

Then Fix Issues(registry)

Its a good program, better yet, IT IS FREE and fast.

After the scanning...do a defrag? might help..but I dont know. If any case, just reinstall war craft.

its biasa, normally only occurs during battlenet games, i think its connection prob, as if host fatal errored, players that connect to host oso get fatal error

so just relax, it won`t always occur, once in a blue moon

Did you install in user mode? Maybe WC3 does not have the permissions required to create those files? I'd go with the memtest though.
