 how to create recovery partition, recovery partition gone

i just bought a preloved Macbook Pro, and I found out that in order to enable the find my mac function, I need to have the recovery partition which I don't have. any idea how to create a recovery partition? I tried Google, and I cannot make it. New in Mac here sad.gif any sifu here can teach me? I'm on OS X 10.9.5 fyi...
