I heard there was one blind test done by Uncle Wilson.
He let his 'so call' audiophile friends test his speakers. He turn on the lights and on the speakers.
Those 'so to be claimed' audiophile people said: wow, good hi fi speakers (bookshelve). Wilson on the lights and told them, "see, this is an normal altec lansing speaker".
So different rigs will perform differently...
The computer shops dunno how to setup their components to sell their speakers I would say
