Just wanna ask a few questions: 1. I am thinking of getting S2.1M. Do i need a sound card to pair it up with? If yes, what sound card should i go for? budget for sound card is RM200. 2. I notice that S2.1M and S4.1 are in similar price range. So which one should i go for? I am into both gaming and music. Thanks for the help in advance.

Hi people, i am interested in getting the new S2.1M. Do i need a kickass sound card to drive it or just the on board will be sufficient?

Bought a S2.1m recently. Was disappointed with the performance initially. However, after burning in for few days with Edifier tool and did some tweaking to the equalizer, it sounds superb Btw, i am only using on board sound chip which is made by realtek. I believe with better sound card, this speakers will sound better.

QUOTE(FayeChan @ Aug 4 2008, 10:26 PM) RM680 for the S530D? A little bit more expensive than the Logitech Z2300 @ RM659. Still I think all of the speakers at Edifier have a price hike (costs increasing?) when I saw all of the Audio/Speakers booth at the recent PC Fair. I have tried both speakers. Logitech Z2300 sounds gloomy. Dun really like it. S530 has better bass and clarity IMO.
