For I, i have tested all many times, although not side by side but i think i have a deep impress about each of it. The klipsch GMX 2.1 really pawn all the other speaker in the list. if u are bass oriented more than mid and high,
i would say u already have the best multimedia speaker in current market. if u insist to looking for upgrade, i suggest u wait for Edifier S2.1MKII, this is the only speaker  mayb can pawn GMX in the sence of good powerful tight bass. if u are more focus on mid and high while still looking for some good quality bass, i suggest u go for AegoM, the best vocal speaker ever~.

For II, according to ur requirement(in clarity-more focus, bass, performance/price ratio), IMO M3300 is the best choice. unless u are bass head, not care much about clarity and tighter bass, then ATP3 will more suit for u.

my conclusion, upgrade or downgrade to any of the speaker in the list u mention is not recommended, because is really wasting money, i doubt u wont get a better sound enjoy experience. i suggest u go for either S2.1MKII, or AegoM, or hifi level speaker like a good amp + a pair of bookshelf or floorstander. u will feel like step into heaven.  laugh.gif

IMHO Klipsch Promedia GMX A-2.1 is not that good. Disco type bass for basshead, missing midrange and very bright sound are what you can get from it. And anyone of the speakers in "section I" pawn GMX A-2.1. smile.gif

have u seriously done a complete test on it? for eg quiet environment and good source
and fine turn the sub volumn until the best position, or even replace the speaker cable?  if say this is disco type speaker that was not wrong, its bass really very tight, powerful and punchy. but missing midrange and sound bright i cant agree with this, i dun see it is over bright and missing midrange if pair with good sound card and replace the stock cable.

lol, I was waiting for your reply. smile.gif
No offense, just sharing my opinion here.

I have tested the GMX A-2.1 with Philips PSC 805, Prodigy 7.1 LT, Chaintech AV-710 and Audigy 2 ZS. All these sound card are considered a quite a good source for this speaker. Mostly test it with high bit rate mp3 and some .ape, .wav format songs. Testing enviroment is in my room, mostly at night which is "quite". Beside that, the Klipsch GMX A-2.1 is consider burn in already since it has been used for year. The bass contoller was set depends on the type of the songs, some songs need more bass while somes need slightly lesser.

First of all, the bass is considered powerful, but most of the songs don't need that kind of disco, heart punching type bass. Regarding to the missing midrange, don't you feel like you are listening to the songs in a "tin can"? It sound hollow and thin.
And lastly the brightness, it is so bright untill I can't even sit in front of it for more than 15 minutes. Btw, the satellites was placed approximately 26" apart and 24" from listening position. For subwoofer, I have tried placing it near the wall and also not so near to the wall. Overall, "it is not that good". I used to have a Edifier S 4.1 which pawn this GMX A-2.1 anytime. Wait, except the disco type bass when listening to those techno/disco type songs.

I very disagree with the bolded part.
5.1 will better in movie no doubt, but 2.1 won't lose, if with proper setup.
And you always mention Aego M, i bet you're already drowned by the words from the other forumer out there, i bet you never seriously audition it. Am i right?
If you're a true Audiophiler, price won't be the 1st issue to think off, SQ came 1st.
Why people buy RM1000 headphone instead of using the money to get a new pc?
Because this is their passion on audio.
And you also always mention Z5500.
Go seriously test it 1 more time, its just a piece of rubbish speaker for me.(no offend)
I have to say this is a speaker with only bass but no vocal.
5.1, 1.5 grand, is it worth it? Hell no for me.
With 1.5k, Klipsch 5.1 pawned Z5500 big big time.
You're too young for this hobbie dude.
My advise, don't think too far on this age, unless.... you're freaking rich.

No need to feel disappointed; he is not your student or what. He is just the same as you, sharing and learning here.

I suppose you are talking about Klipsch GMX 5.1(since RM 1500)? I doubt if GMX 5.1 will sounds nicer than Z5500. Talking about serious audition, I suppose you have both GMX 5.1 and Z5500? Or you had spent quite some time auditing/testing both Z5500 and GMX with proper setup(or maybe AB test?)? That's why you can conclude that RM 1500(Z5500) is a piece of junk. nod.gif

"True audiophile care about their money also."

And age doesn't matter.

Please mind your words here, it sounds very rude and uneducated.

Lastly, please dont flame me and I have no offense here.

Is S4.1 volume controller still available? Got stock?

I am forced to post here as my two PMs to Mr. Edifier didn't get any reply. It's been a few weeks and I don't get a single reply.
I had been thinking that Mr. Edifier is a very helpful person. Am very very dissapointed.

Can as well ignore my post here if you want.

Just goto Edifier showroom in LYP la.

I can say that S2000 will be better sounding than S2000V due to better components used. S2000V is cheaper because it has an intergrated amp instead of external one on S2000.

Most speaker will sound slightly different when you sit in different parts of the room. I dont think S2000 can escape the curse. However I can said that it was minimal compared to what I get from multimedia speakers. The most noticeable difference will be the bass.
