Hi plannign o purchase a 5.1 system for my living room lcd tv had a r501 previously for my room in pc sold off for aego

wanna ask the new mk2 enuf juice to power my living room o not?or i need to get a s series?living room is about 6x10m

wat do i need to get to connect them to my lcd tv?a 5.1 channel amp?or an av receiver?

i think HCS2330(C2) more suitable u loh~~~gaming movie and music are difirent enjoy ~~so u can try to adjust them to the best side ~~~^^ if wrong don blame me ~~~if u think c2 bestfor u also then direct go to C3 ~~~

Or try audition Edifier DA5000... not bad at all

MK2 will suite for your room. If you want 5.1 can try the S550.

may i know around when which month will the headphone and earphone be launched? i am planning to get one of those soon...

that's a pretty large living room u got there. yes, you should consider the S550 for it as Edifier said.
the DA5000 would be nice as well if you are under budget, but I would seriously recommend the S550 for your room setup, though.

if you already have a DVD player with 5.1 channel analogue output, you don't need an amplifier or separate receiver. Just hook the speakers up to ur DVD player as with ur R501 previously.

the S550 supports 5.1 analogue input for now, and no HDMI if you want to hook it up to your LCD TV for the 5.1 effect. but as from my experience with HDMI and digital connections, they are not much different compared to analogue ones. your money should always be spent on a good set of speakers first that is value for your money, such as the S550.

s2.1m is RM400+-,S530D is RM700+-,so u guess la which one is better ,both is very good speaker,choose based on ur budget

*remember this speaker doesnt require equalizer ON in ur player ya,if not it will sounds not nic(except tune seriously)

D = Digital Input ~this input are more nice then anolog
the different are sound quality transfer to speaker more nice then normal cable `~

with the digital input,you can connect digital sources directly to your speakers, keeping an unadulterated audio signal all the way to the power amplifier in your speakers.

but if ur soundcard do not have the digital output,using the analog is good enough.

how i know my soundcard have digital output or not ??
mine is build in .......

try look at ur motherboard manual ,and google for how the digital port looks like it is easier if u state wats ur motherboard model.

digital input not = necessary nicer than analog, it has to depend on whether the DAC build in on the speaker is nicer or the sound card. Digital connection means the speaker must have build in decoder and hence the decoding done on the speaker side, whereas analog connection is decoding at sound card's DAC then only send analog signal to speaker. AFAIK, the DAC build in S530 is normal only, a good sound card like prodigy HD2 should be better than that. most of the stereo system i saw is using analog. digital connection is mostly used on surround system like logitech Z5500 which have build in THX Certified Dolby Digital, DTS Decoder; or some AV Receiver like Yamaha, Denon... all these is for DVD Audio and Visual in Surround system.

KiAN008: Digital Audio Connector have two type, optical and coaxial. google on the name u will able to see the picture of it. to further confirm, check your computer motherboard brand & model, go to its company site to check the specification, or u can give me the model here, i help u check. some motherboard will have build in digital output, but very rare. IMO, u doens't need to pay attention at digital thingy on S530D. just my 2 cent
