today mess up everything cos noob and try to mess with ffs by installing klite mega pack....s2.1m user if want watch movie really need to tweak advance dvd setting in wmp11. big difference and set to 2.1 surround....but still find low frequency vocal on my speaker not so satisfying dunno y the sound not clear enough a bit blur and murky compare to the mid and high....anyone know how to adjust setting to improve that?

im using K-Lite Codec Pack Full instead of the mega one cause i find it unnecessary.

during installation, please choose the codecs to be installed wisely. and straight after install, please configure the ffdshows decoder for audio and video properly. for audio & video decoder, make sure all codecs are enabled.

then go to mixer normalize matrix. below got LFE level which can be increased as well. if u want better bass, go to LFE crossover, activate it and set 'Gain' to desired value. for me the ffdshows works perfectly if i tune each part one by one... complicated at first but im happy at the end...

wow thx nismo bro....the problem i'm facing is that in dvd movie playback the sound is too soft and if i use volume gain there seem to be unbalancedness in voice and special effect volume..1 too loud 1 too soft...haiz i noob in dvd playback

in that case, for me, in mixer go tick normalize matrix. and in volume, also tick normalize. i also face that in "good quality" dvd.

and also update your k-lite codec pack if new version have come out...
for me using full version 3.90 not using mega pack cause it contain too much and i dun need.

i'm new in this thread.. currently i interested in edifier DA5000 speaker..
can anyone who have experienced in this speaker give some opinion and suggestion..
I want to know about quality of the bass, deep bass, midrange, highrange sound quality of this speaker..
for now i'm using altec lansing vs 4121..this speaker bass sometime good and sometimes very bad.. while on games and movies it' okay.. but while listening to music the quality produce by this speaker is really bad.. the bass output does not really satisfied me.. FYI information, i really love the deep bass and powerful bass with balance midrange and high range sound. but this vs4121 really dissapointed me. So i'm looking for a new speaker to replace this vs 4121 with a very good speaker and i found this DA5000. So can anyone give me some advice and opinion in this edfier DA5000. my budget for the new speaker is RM500-650.

if u want really deep bass. please listen to DA5k before buying it.
i got listen to it before and the bass is not really "wow".
and got some complain that the bass is not really satisfying for a home theater pc range.

if u want 2.1 can get S2.1 (S530D) as well. the sub is similar to DA5k but not sure whether produce same effect. so in your price range i recommend S530D and DA5000 of course....
