There I was minding my own business and eating my large meal of a Chicken McDeluxe, large fries n large Coke Light. I fired up my lappie and there was jones bugging me on why I havent started my workouts yet (after a week or so of promising him that I'd workout in the morning before work). I felt really lazy, I need my support system of :

1) my sports bra
2) my water bottle
3) my Nike shoes
4) my Ipod Shuffle
5) my workout pants + tshirt
6) my socks
7) my lifting gloves

to workout (yes, I'm spoiled). I told jones that I'm lacking item 1, 3 & 4 at that moment. FYI I was having my dinner @ Uptown McDonalds, literally 1 min away from FF Uptown. After some bickering I packed my laptop and walked towards my car (it was parked 100m away) - I fetched my gym bag and took a huge sigh, "This is it".

Then my Ipod shuffle decided to appear out of nowhere. I forgot that I already put it @ the backseat of my car. Cool. Then I walked back to the gym. It felt like the longest walk ever......

I swiped my card and the glass door swung. At the locker room, I opened my gym bag and lo and behold my sports bra was there - washed n folded. I never thought that I could be that organized. I changed. And walked to the free weights area.

Wah, damn small lah the free weights area.

There it was. The almighty squat rack. It's not as daunting as before. Definitely smaller than the ones @ IOI, Summit & KLCC. I grabbed a plastic stepper, took off the bloody sponge and started ATG squatting.

Empty bar. Easy peasy.

Bar with 10kg. I still had the groove.

Bar with 20kg.

1x5. Pass

1x5. Pass.

Wait, I felt a hamstring pull. AAAAAAAAHHHH. Cant walk cant walk cant walk. I sat on the squat rack spotter for a while for the pain to go away. I deloaded my weights, put the stepper back and went benching.

Ei ei ei pain pain pain.

Empty bar. Easy peasy

Bar + 2.5kg. I'm still alive

Bar + 5kg. Ei ei ei hamstring pain pain pain >.<

I stopped at 25kg. 3x5.

There was no space in that area to DL. I went to do some dips n triceps extension.

After that I did 10 mins of cardio. 4.5 walk for 3 mins, 8.5 run for 4 mins then 3.7 cooldown for 3 mins. Grandma's speed.

I went back to the locker room, took my bags and left the area. I felt good. I felt like I'm whole again.

Thank you jones for being my annoying guardian angel.

Things
- Trained with Chris and Jones at Terry Gallyot Mr Asia's gym in Wangsa Maju. My poundages are recovering so much better than expected, so am happy. I'm so happy that I'm very sure I'll be able to break bench PR next week! Whopee! This poundages catch-up thingy has happened before - I took a month off for Ramadhan and I recovered them within one week's practice. Maybe it's a gift smile.gif

- Gotten fat! And I cant run anymore sweat.gif

- Met teh marathoners. Had humongous respect for them. Eventhough deep down I wish that I could do what they do, I know that my body cant possibly do everything, right? Thanks for the company and inspiration, phoenix, andychee81, dawnreaver, washabushi & ironrashid_2k2 wink.gif Gambate for Penang marathon!! (... damnit jealousnya they can eat sinful food n stay skinny sleep.gif)

- Celebrated Father's Day by jogging with my dad around the tasik. At first he wanted to go alone but since I haven't been cardio-ing in a while, I tagged along happy.gif

My home gym is LM, my usual spot is Puchong, I work 2 mins away from Curve, my last FF was Uptown and my last session was at Terry's gym.

If u spotted me at Axis, I'm so random o_O

- Arm-wrestled with my brother 2 days ago and my right arm was in humongous pain! My squats were screwed partly cause I couldnt balance the weights. Even 45kg was freakin hard sad.gif

- Could neither do proper row nor chins. Did left-sided machine row inside. Bah!

i got my calves back when i was fat and overweight. I guess lugging around an overweight body all the time made my calves bigger tongue.gif trying hard to make them bigger still.

Cardio Bunny Attempt #1

Running (treadmill) = ~ 129kcals
- 1 min 5.0
- 1 min 5.5
- 1 min 6.0

Things
- After a week of conditioning myself to wake up early early in the morning (usually I wake up at 8, leave home at 8:30 and ngam ngam sampai 9.00 whistling.gif) , I woke up at 6am eventho I slept at 12-ish yesterday. Golek golek, slept back and woke up again at 6:45am. Prayed, washed clothes, packed my bags, copied my files and left home only at 7:45am doh.gif

- Reached FF Curve at 8:15am, parked far far away cause I'm a cheapskate. By the time I start my workout its already 8:25-ish. Did 15 mins of treadmilling with the last 10mins maintaining 185-190hr and nauseating all the way shakehead.gif.

- After I was done, it's already 8:45am - did some stretching, showered and left teh gym at exactly 9am (crap, I'm late sleep.gif). Had a scoop of whey, a multivit n CoQ-10 afterwards.

- I realized that between stamina and strength, stamina's b****ier to recover & maintain. I gained back around 80-90% of strength but only 50% of stamina sleep.gif My resting heart rate jumps to 85beats/hour from 59-60ish. Not good. Must do something ! sleep.gif. So my life as a morning cardio bunny starts today.

Things
- Originally wanted to run around Mutiara Damansara (much safer n quieter than my housing area) but I forgot that there's a reason why I dont do it run in the outdoors in the first place - I cant run without something to hold my bottle; I drink like a camel when I workout (weights, running) - OKlah maybe it's just an excuse not to run outside biggrin.gif. There's always next time smile.gif

- A lot of things didnt go as planned today sleep.gif I slept at 11:00pm, woke up at 6:30am. Had a mini diarrhea. Was inside the toilet for almost 15 mins. I didnt prepare my gym bag the day before so I spent time looking for my pants, my tshirt, my Ipod, refilled my whey tupperware, cleaned my shaker, looked for my thermogenics, ironed my work clothes, made my bed, cleaned the room and was only out of the house @ 7:30am.

- Since I'm always out 1 hr after I didnt expect a jam ahead. If I leave at 8:30am it takes me arnd 30mins to reach Mutiara Damansara but it seems that it will take me around 40-45mins if I leave earlier sleep.gif. I arrived at 8:15-ish and started to run at 8:23am. At 8:45am I had to stop else I'd be super-late to work. Did some showering, stretching and changing to work clothes and practically drove frantically to office.

- Made a new concoction today. 1 scoop of whey + my morning coffee (1 teaspoon nescafe, 2 packs of Splenda, 150ml of full cream mik, 1 tbsp of virgin coconut oil). I'm naming it Whey Cocoffee laugh.gif
