I am wondering if I should buy intake and exhaust fan for this casing of my AMD rig ( full specs on siggy ) I opened up the casing and looked at the back, it looks weird, wondered if a fan will fit there.

Do you think the fans can fit at the back?

Also, what suggestions do you guys have for the brand of fans, any features I should consider? And how expensive is one which has LED?

Thanks

Hi there, I bought a china HTPC casing months ago, the casing fan is useless, I can hardly feel the air, so I plan to change the fans, but how do I measure the fan size in the first place? From the screw hole to the the other screw hole? Measure diagonally or diagonally?

Thanks biggrin.gif

Just to clarify that my measurement is right, those cheap casings with 2 fans at the back, are usually 80mm right ?

the fan size the the radius of the fan blade itself actually, don't confuse your self. like some silverstone fan, although it is 92mm fan but it has 80mm mounting hole.

If the mounting hole is 80mm, then where to get 92mm ?

You guys got it all wrong..

The measurement for fans when listed in mm is the length from one edge of the frame to the other, not diagonally, not from screw holes. Example: an 80mm fan measures 80mm from left edge of frame to right edge of frame. Measured from screw holes it would be less than 80mm, measured diagonally will be more than 80mm. If you want the exact details of the fan measurement, pull up the datasheets for the fans & study the technical diagram, its accurate to a fraction of a mm.

Such a confident answer, thanks !
