anyone using a evercool 120mm led fan....... around 2500RPM push 70 ++ CFM........ it a bit noisy though.

i was planning to get a fan controller and run it around 5 ! 9v around 1000 to 1500 RPM to reduce the noise.........any experince to share ??

any good fan controller to recommend? I actually prefer something at the back of the casing as I want my front bezel as clean as possible.....

Oh...thank you for the info. All the while, I thought it's the other way round, more blades=more noise. tongue.gif Now I dun even bother bout the hype of tri-blade...

Quick Question:

How's the Sunbeam 120mm LED case fan? Better than CM 120mm LED in terms of noise/performance ratio?

Thank you , I am very happy to know someone which really a silent computer fan.I really hope to have a silent power supply. The only computer I approch before is Dell computer at office which is completely silent. It's an old Dell PC Dimension  4500 which is black in color. The PSU almost near to silent even at night.

I hope to build a silent pc and I am quite sensitive with noise.RM60 for Noctua and Scythe is kind of expensive.I remember last time buying a Cooler master 12cm tri blade which I felt being cheated buying at RM45.
Right now I have 2 choices.1st get a silent PSU hoping I'm chosen it correctly which cost RM3++, 2nd buy a new silent fan which cost RM 80-100

I am now still confuse which option I should choose. If I the PSU isn't silent I wasted RM 3++ and I didn't know how to change the PSU fan.
*
I used to want a real silent setup as I've personally own a HP desktop which is really silent unless i press my ear to the psu. But now, I've actually stopped trying to build a totally silent setup as it was really costing me!!

To get a real silent setup, I think PSU comes first... most of the recognized PSU, like Silverstone, Corsair should be quiet enough. Even my CM real power doesnt make that much noise. Bout the case fans... good silent fans with high CFM are hard to come by. The most economical way to make it quiet is to control the speed. Slower means less noise. Get yourself a fan controller, around RM20+ ...
