Xigmatek white led case fan any good? I plan to replace the fans that came with CM690 casing (side panel & exhaust).

My desktop PC is an old P4 PC. There are 2 fans, a fan that came with the power box and another fan at the processor. The power box is a cheap thing at RM50. I'm a noob for modding PC. I just want it to be absolutely quiet even at midnight. What can I do? My budget is RM200.

I don't need anything of high performance, I use the PC for surfing internet and watching movie only. Hence, its still a P4.

question here, is there anyway to control the speed of the fan ?..coz initially my cpu fan only spin faster ( which means louder )ocasionally when the cpu is kinda warm or watever u call it ?.right ? ,after changing my RAM, now it spins louds all the time. any idea ?

do not put filters on exhaust fans.....

putting filter on exhaust fan will require more cleaning coz the dust will get stuck on the filter...

if no filter the fan will just pull the dust out unrestricted

K then. Guess i should have ordered noise blocker add on instead of filter, silly me >-<;
Any ideas what i can use the 3 fan filters i just bought? Should i replace the lian li filters or should i re-sell them ?

Actually i may just give to my brother for his pc for a christmas present actually >:D

I think the buzzing sound is come from power supply if not mistake.ur using silverstone psu? some fan is not advice to put as horizontal layout,as it produce weird sound, once u change to horizontal, the sound gone..which fan generate vibrate, can you determine? top fan, front or rear? maybe u need adding something(paper) at the fan frame there to eliminate the vibrate sound. maybe sometime like this.http://www.lamptron.com/products/view/Rubber_Frame

regard the intake fans, GT fan is damm expensive, put at front is highly not recommend. (drive ferrari at kampung)
ppl say if want great airflow, get higher cfm fan where can bring more air to the casing, but it more likely generate more dust. F12 is ok due to the cost. if ur not much budget, get F12 if you dont want any blink blink things..if want blink blink fan, can get xigmatek xlf series.  if rich yet, can try scythe S-FLEX series, or any high cfm fan.
But if you look for silent pc, then you can consider get 800rpm fan for front casing and high cfm at bottom + top casing to create negative airflow for your casing.

I did tried the xlf before. Its decent, good airflow but definately not one of  the quiet ones, I mean the 'air' sound that is.

Normally those good static pressure/high cfm fans are not bling bling Only the normal fans would have LED's and bling factor
