Dosent the 80mm's rpm faster than the 120mm?
and say they are using the same LED type... 80mm has lesser area coverage so brighter the LED.. 120mm is bigger mah...therefore it might seem dimmer..or maybe the LED is dirty inside since you hav been using it  Tht's what i understand logically..correct me if i am wrong  And maybe you can ask your question here since the topic is about fans..
