QUOTE(sunshine7143 @ Mar 4 2017, 01:33 AM) Hi, I wanted to apply for NUS dentistry or pharmacy. I got 4 flat for my STPM but my MUET score is 195 (band 4), not reach the minimum score of 200. Anyone encountered same case as me? Will I still get the chance of being offered? I'm feeling so helpless now. What should I going to do now? I remember NUS stating 200 Muet score as the minimum score, not hitting it means you stand low/no chance for the admission. Plus dentistry and pharmacy are extreme competitive courses which they recruit very less foreign students unless you're exceptionally bright with Olympiad medals or some very bright achievements in national scale. I would suggest you to apply other course which gives you higher chance of entering NUS unless you are determined that you want to study Pharmacy/Dentistry. By that case you should cross your fingers on local unis ipta~~

QUOTE(iSean @ Mar 4 2017, 01:38 AM) Singapore doesn't requires MUET for all their courses. Most of them have an alternative English test not mistaken. For stpm students, muet is required.

QUOTE(Kcdw96 @ Mar 4 2017, 06:07 PM) For stpm students, muet is required. Really then for him, retaking MUET is an alternative option. Because what I'd heard from my cousin, is that they will require you to do an English test also apart of the selection admission process.

But they perhaps still want to make sure that you have basic English language competency. That exam your cousin mentioned is to determine if you have to take extra English modules or not, though you're exempted from the test if you've a high enough ielts, sat or tofel score

You can take IELTS as an alternative english qualification. If you can score an overall band 8 and above, there is a high chance where the admissions team will just ignore your MUET results and take IELTS into consideration.
