Why UNITEK?:

I have done an experiment to compare the charging speed between UNITEK with my Sony Xperia's Z3 ORIGINAL cable and ASUS Nexus 7 USB cable (credit to my other half smile.gif )

These are the 3 cables:

UNITEK's USB cable @1.27 Ampere charge current

Sony Xperia's Z3 ORIGINAL charging cable @0.98 Ampere charge current

ASUS Nexus 7 USB cable @1.01 Ampere charge current

From this little experiment, this proves that the charging speed for UNITEK's USB cable is far more faster!

Hi homerthewhopper, thanks for your question.

Here's a short answer: Yes, my UNITEK USB cable supports fast charging. smile.gif

Long answer: As long your adapter (charger) is capable of giving out 2.1A of current output and your phone supports fast charging rate then this UNITEK cable will perform great! Most of other cables in the market, even the cable supplied with your phone will limit your charging current due to the wires' thickness and materials used in the cable. Thinner wires causes high resistance hence larger voltage drop across the cable which means lower charging current.
My UNITEK cable uses thicker and higher quality wires so less resistance and lower voltage drop when charging at high current. I hope I answered your question. wink.gif

And for those who ask wonder how much current/ or how fast can this wire charge, i used a note 5 charger to charge the phone. Here is the result.
