yeah, maybe technically we don't need 4gb ram. also most user will not be able to tell the difference between 2k and fhd on a 5" screen. and also maybe the power optimization is so good that 2700mah battery is more than enough on Xp. all this only the tech savvy people will understand.

but then, on the marketing point of view, more is always better. people look at figures when doing comparison. the bigger the number equates to better spec. this is typical human nature

and also on the pricing. how is sony gonna price this xperia x performance? side by side comparison, its spec loses to s7 or g5. is sony going price this the same price range as s7 or g5? if so which device most likely people will buy? let's say same price 2.5k you get a 4gb ram, 2k screen and 3k+mah battery on the s7 vs 3gb ram, fhd screen and 2.7kmah battery on Xp. by this simple comparison, most will think the Xp is not worth it.

if sony price this like 300 or 400 lower than competitor, then maybe this Xp will still be able to find its market. if not i'm afraid things will not be looking good for sony...

haha... i'm also still using z1... but z1 only have 2gb ram, which i think by today's standard really is "just enough"

i got rumors that we wont have XP.
still, let's wait for it.
anyhow, i am hoping Sony to release a successor for Z Ultra, as that's my only target to replace my aging but beloved Z Ultra.

yeah... let's say sept announce another flagship model. by the time MY release it will be oct or nov... i might just get the XP also if the price is right.

I don't know about the their companies and I can't comment much. From consumer perspective, the price for x is too high. This is from surface level. From business perspective, stakeholder aim to maximise the profit. I just wish to say that don't just compare on white paper. Cost is the critical parts for all companies. The components are the crucial factors. Seem like Sony have to take deep consideration on their components selection. Cost do have relationship with volume as well. Deep business acumen over here

I guess Sony is doing gambling.. If no sales, end up with loss and same route as Nokia.. They are good and talented.. But business nowadays had changed.. if they dont plan to change, really will follow as Nokia

No need qoute iphone ba. No one else except apple sells em. Problem is sony malaysia says no plans of bringing in xp. So x is the new flagship. New flagship but mid range specs. Then why in the world sd800 series exist when sd600 can do the job just as good? 2499 and above is in the sd800 series price range. How to compare s7e with x? The normal s7 is just rm200 away and that is a full fledged flagship minus the edge screen. Sure lagwiz is not fully optimized as sony but that's the only point sony had over its closest competition in that price range.

I don't know where you got this info but during my days with S7E, i still have 1.1GB left under heavy multitasking. Not to defend samsung but it's true.

Anyway, our Xperia X comes with 64GB internal memory, while some countries get 32GB only.

some rumours say that is exclusive to Japanese set design. not sure what's the logic though
