well it all depends on individual preference i guess. nowadays everyone wants to make shooters more realistic, esp ones tht try to emulate real life tactics (GRAW, R6, etc.). that's good in my book.
the only problem is if they tend to make it TOO realistic. i mean of course we all know if we get caught in a hail of gunfire in real life and live, then somebody up there must love ya. but to put tht in a game? what's the point of it being a video game anyway?
personally, i'd be amazed at the varied possibilities of death in a game. like the mentioned cod3 where u could get hit by a flying tyre and drop dead. it's so unpredictable and it could happen in real life. then again, if it's TOO unpredictable and too frequent, my god every gamer will have a bloody headache due to multi tasking, what with the main objectives of the mission and to actually avoid unpredictable events such as flying shards of glass.
guess just have to hope devs balance between entertainment and simulation.
