QUOTE(bbgoat @ Mar 29 2016, 05:06 PM) 300k can becomes Xclusive Club member of BR. I am not placing much hope on the gold coin, could be "gold plated" instead. Could be the one that was given out last year during one of their FD campaigns. Anyway, these are just bonus. They said will send me the coin and other stuff from HQ. 12 mth 4.5% with monthly interest very attractive 300k for 4.5% ? Try your luck, ask the branch near your area. Who knows ? The part I liked most is the 12 mth 4.5% with monthly interest. i called them and ask about it but had been told 4.55% 2 years |

QUOTE(ljf123 @ Mar 29 2016, 05:07 PM) 4.1% is their board rate for 1 year. Current 1 year promo for BR is 4.28%. QUOTE(ljf123 @ Mar 29 2016, 05:12 PM) 12 mth 4.5% with monthly interest very attractive I also placed for the 2 years 4.55% last week. I spread out my FD tenures. Tried to get past 4.5% for the 1 year FD, but was told MAX'ed out at 4.5% irrespective of amount placed. i called them and ask about it but had been told 4.55% 2 years |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Mar 29 2016, 12:28 PM) You can sell the TV + ipad mini to pocket the profit. 100% profit. Gold plated toys hard to sell. Easily can profit >rm1312.5. Ipad and TV sell slightly cheaper than market price. Sure profit. One ipad mini 4 16gb WiFi from Apple malaysia sells for rm1599. Sell at rm1499, TV sell at about rm800, profit rm2299. QUOTE(cklimm @ Mar 29 2016, 01:26 PM) after a read through on the t/c: Under the Priority Referee terms, Referee needs to deposit a minimum total of RM250,000 into both JustOne Priority Savings Account and Term Deposit placement for 6 months. The placement in JustOne Priority Savings Account has to be a minimum of RM50,000 and the deposit amount will be earmarked for 6 months. as the justone priority gives only 2%, The scb effective rate dropped further to 2.92%. The new difference is further increased to RM1600, if we only gets ipad mini + a made in china LCD TV, it may not worth the hassle. Maybe Harp is right, better go cimb for the patung emasĀ QUOTE(Ramjade @ Mar 29 2016, 02:33 PM) 250k personally i do not even want to bother with the hassle of selling items. that is rm250 mentality not 250k. the time wasted to sell the items i would have earnt much more than the sale. i cant speak for all but i think most 250k < individuals wont want to either. This post has been edited by HarpArtist: Mar 29 2016, 05:22 PM |

QUOTE(LakeEdger @ Mar 28 2016, 07:10 PM) Regarding Maybank 4.31% eFD promotion, I called maybank customer service 30 mins ago to clarify the definition of "fresh funds", as stipulated on the T&C. Questuon:He defined that as long as the "fresh funds" is from the Maybank savings/current account, and get deposited into the 12 months conventional eFD as per the guideline (credit to account) - then the eFD "fresh funds" requirement is fulfilled. For clarity sake, I asked him : what if i uplift my existing eFD (say GIA-I), then put it into the new eFD 4.31% account? He replied: well, when you uplift from GIA-I, the money gets credited to your current/savings account first. Then you put the money into the eFD 4.31% account. So that is considered OK - i.e. fulfilling the "fresh funds" requirement. I hope he did not Oscar me. Having said that, I have experimented placing the eFD today - the placement was successful, screenshot was as per provided by another forumer in previous post. and it is true that no way Maybank can trace if the money is from existing $ in account, or got transferred from other banks. As such, i choose to believe the explanation from the customer service. Hope this helps. I just placed 10k into eFD with Credit to Account, but is it normal to still see the interest rate as 3.4%? Edit - after viewing at the M2U website should be fine now I can see the additional point next to interest rate stating the gradual increasing rate to be 4.31%.i was using Maybank App when I first placed. Sent a nasty e-mail to UOB on different treatments, why some customers not required to open savings account but some required. Eventually they called me and confidently said that this is the policy across all their branches and asked me to provide them the branch which did not comply, they will investigate and revert. I eventually just tell them to close the case and not pursue further
