hlb fd "subject to cheque clearance" term

will the effective fd duration less cheque clearance days? consequently, lesser effective interests.

eg, cheque clearance 2days, then effective duration for a 3m fd is (3m - 2).

really? for 50, 55, or 65 years old? not without respect, we know the senior citizen age wise are defined differently from age 50 to 65.

55 but I dun think it has to do with age.

In the case of MayBank, the teller told me that if I request 1pc of Banker's Cheque for the 100% amount then it is FREE. If partial of the whole amount, then chargeable.

As for Public Bank, I requested 10% to be credited to my S/A & the balance 90% in a single BC .... and it is FREE.

As for OCBC, so far I only request for 100% in a single BC which is FREE. Other than 100% then I am not too sure whether it is chargeable or not.

Whatever it is, I am not too picky even if it is chargeable.

That's what HLB staff informed me when I enquired about their banker cheque fee. She just mentioned free for senior citizens, didn't cite the age though. I presume it's 55 and above? Correct me if I'm wrong.
