QUOTE(Pinnacle1295 @ Mar 18 2016, 03:56 PM) maybank also 53 cents, bro!QUOTE(nbi @ Mar 18 2016, 04:29 PM) hlb fd "subject to cheque clearance" term not true! will the effective fd duration less cheque clearance days? consequently, lesser effective interests. eg, cheque clearance 2days, then effective duration for a 3m fd is (3m - 2). fd start date not affected by tat clause. In the case of MayBank, the teller told me that if I request 1pc of Banker's Cheque for the 100% amount then it is FREE. If partial of the whole amount, then chargeable. As for Public Bank, I requested 10% to be credited to my S/A & the balance 90% in a single BC .... and it is FREE. As for OCBC, so far I only request for 100% in a single BC which is FREE. Other than 100% then I am not too sure whether it is chargeable or not. Whatever it is, I am not too picky even if it is chargeable. |

That's what HLB staff informed me when I enquired about their banker cheque fee. She just mentioned free for senior citizens, didn't cite the age though. I presume it's 55 and above? Correct me if I'm wrong. |
