thanks @tsb16107
i too am thinking of getting 1 from Desa Home
you paid RM3000 for the TV and 3+2 years warranty from the shop? my friend went there last night and was quoted rm2799 for the TV and normal 2 years warranty
i have a few questions ya, thanks in advance for entertaining the queries

1- does the TV has local apps installed alreaday? like iflix, Astro on the Go etc
2- if it does not has the local apps installed, do you know if we can install it on our own?
3- how is the wireless connection performance?
4- do you have Astro? if yes, how the picture quality from Astro for the TV?
5- do you mind test playing a movie which is longer than 2 hours via USB and see if it plays until the end? i have this problem with my 6 years old Hisense TV where the movie played from USB can tahan until 2 hours only, after reaching 2 hours it will go back to the start
6- does it has mirroring function

Terima kaseh  thumbup.gif

1. No local apps.
2. Have not tried. I have tv boxes connected to to the TV, so no need to install apps to TV.
3. Wirelss connection is painless. Netflix 4K is smooth.
4. No Astro. I have not tried Astro go or others, as the TV still new and I don't have much time to play with the TV on weekdays.
5. I watch movies thorough TV box.
6. I think so but I don't do mirror content so never try. Plus the TV box already come with chromecast.

The extra warranty insurance cost slightly more than 400. Initially the shop assistant also quoted higher price but I told him Desa is advertising the TV at shoppe for 2599 and ask if they can follow. If the shop does not sell at 2599 for standard warranty, you can still buy it online and arrange for self pick up if you want to or wait for them to deliver. That's was my initial intention. However the shop assistant said can follow the on line price so I requested to buy extra warranty and finally settled at RM 3K.

Hi bro, does the extended warranty covers for screen damage as well or only for hardware parts?

On another note, is the 55A6501UW a good buy? Looking for 55' within 2.3k budget.

Thanks in advance rclxms.gif

Hi,I am sorry if some one have reply with the same thing as i do,this post is too long to actually follow everything. I own a Hisense TV (I forgot what is the size of it , for sure less then 50") not a smart TV ,brought it for less then Rm900 .It serve me well until now (More then 2 years) .

I have use it for chromecast ,gaming(PS4 and Nintendo Switch) , so far no dead pixel ,no problem. With the price i pay ,i couldn't complain much .At least it serve the purpose as a TV.

If you look for best graphic, best sound and best everything..............i dun think Hisense will satisfy you.

Yeap.. been lobbying around with either LG,SAMSUNG and rather stay away from SONY due to it's media playback limitations etc supporting newer movie file formats. Had been using SHARP TV (UE-630X) until the screen got cracked recently. cry.gif

Based on my extended warranty purchase.. Been informed that manufacturer warranty only cover for the 1st year for Screen damage in my case was SHARP. While the extended warranty just covers for the hardware only. whistling.gif

I am using the same Sharp too. Unfortunately the LAN is only 100mbps link which not able to play 4k movies (50GB) smoothly thru NAS. May also find 1gb LAN for future proof smile.gif

i am curious about this.

50gb video is not so big.

can u describe a bit more... how are the connections, what player, what router, just tv or with home theater, etc...?

many things in the chain... problem may not be the tv but other things...?

also, can try wifi mode, it will can do >200mbps.

No, got a TV cabinet so had to re-arrange the cables and etc thus carried the TV off from the wall mount bracket for awhile in order to plug in the LAN cable. When we placed back the TV on the wall mount I noticed a slight crack on the top left corner. Powered TV on with Audio able to hear but no Video. Made a report to SHARP thn technician came over and told that screen damage only covered for 1st year. Repair costs is about 1.5-1.8K. Sighs thought it could last me at least few years. bye.gif bye.gif

sorry to hear that.

maybe in the process, it got hit unknowingly?

u probably bought it >3 years ago; no coverage unless u paid for 2+3 years warranty.

mine is now 3.5 years old, going strong.

Yeah could hv got hit slightly during the shifting and moving.. Bought the TV in Dec 2017 with the extended warranty 2+3 years however the SHARP technician told me that coverage for screen damage was only for the 1st year and not for the subsequent years. Gutted to hear that so now in the market again for a new TV. doh.gif

Anyone tried the 49" A5700 or 39" A5601 series? Need some feedback before buying it. Need the ability to chromecast/screen mirroring from Android phone to TV.

Interesting.. hisense quitely introduced B7700 tv in Malaysia. it's AndroidTV with Dolby Vision support. This model is probably equivalent to U7B in other countries.
